QALA CREATIONS
2026–2027 STUDIO POLICIES, ENROLLMENT AGREEMENT & PARTICIPATION WAIVER
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ACCEPTING.
By electronically accepting this agreement, the parent/legal guardian or adult student confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to the policies below.
1. NEW FLAT MONTHLY TUITION MODEL
Beginning with the 2026–2027 season, Qala Creations is introducing a NEW flat monthly tuition model:
• 1-Hour Class: $80 per month
• 1.5-Hour Class: $100 per month
Tuition is a flat monthly program fee and is not calculated based on the number of classes in a particular month.
Some months may have four classes, some may have five, and some may have fewer due to scheduled holidays or studio breaks.
Families will not be charged extra for a five-class month, and tuition will not be reduced or prorated for scheduled holidays or studio breaks.
If Qala Creations cancels a regularly scheduled class outside the published calendar, a make-up opportunity or appropriate adjustment will be provided when applicable.
2. REGISTRATION & TRIAL CLASS
• A $40 non-refundable registration fee applies to all new enrollments.
• Returning students who confirm within the designated re-enrollment period may have the registration fee waived.
• Students who withdraw and later return must pay the applicable registration fee again.
• New students may attend one complimentary trial class. Registration and tuition must be completed before the second class.
3. ONGOING ENROLLMENT
Enrollment continues from month to month until written notice is provided.
Stopping attendance does not automatically cancel enrollment or tuition responsibility.
4. PAYMENT DEADLINE & $20 LATE FEE
Monthly tuition is due within the first week of each month.
A $20 late fee will be added if tuition remains unpaid after the first week.
Courtesy reminders may be sent, but receiving a reminder is not required for tuition or the late fee to become due.
5. MANDATORY CARD ON FILE
A valid credit or debit card must remain on file for every active Qala Creations account.
IMPORTANT: Keeping a card on file does NOT mean that Qala Creations will automatically charge your regular monthly tuition when you make your payment on time using another accepted payment method.
The card serves as a backup payment method.
If a balance remains unpaid after the applicable payment deadline, the account holder authorizes Qala Creations to charge the outstanding balance and any applicable $20 late fee to the card maintained on the account.
6. WITHDRAWAL / PAUSE POLICY
At least 15 days' written notice is required before discontinuing or pausing enrollment.
Missing classes or verbally informing an instructor does not count as written cancellation.
Until written notice is received, enrollment remains active and applicable tuition and fees remain due.
7. ATTENDANCE & MAKE-UPS
Student absences due to illness, travel, vacations, school activities, personal schedules, or similar circumstances are non-refundable and will not be prorated or credited.
Make-up classes at another Qala Creations location may be offered with prior approval and are subject to availability.
8. CLASS CONDUCT & EVENTS
Students are expected to arrive on time, wear appropriate attire and footwear, follow safety instructions, and treat instructors, staff, venues, and other students respectfully.
Performances, competitions, recitals, workshops, and special events may involve separate rehearsals, fees, tickets, costumes, travel, or other requirements communicated in advance.
Casting and placement may be based on attendance, preparation, age, ability, teamwork, commitment, choreography needs, and readiness.
9. COSTUMES, PROPS & QALA PROPERTY
Qala Creations property must be handled responsibly and returned as instructed.
Families may be responsible for communicated cleaning, repair, or replacement charges if items are lost, damaged beyond normal wear, or not returned.
10. ASSUMPTION OF INHERENT RISKS
Dance and related activities involve physical movement and inherent risks, including slips, falls, collisions, strains, sprains, and other physical injuries.
The parent/guardian or adult student voluntarily accepts these inherent risks and agrees to follow reasonable safety instructions.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to waive rights or liabilities that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
11. EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
If a parent/guardian cannot be reached in an emergency involving a minor student, Qala Creations staff may contact emergency medical services when reasonably necessary.
12. FINAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By electronically accepting this agreement, I confirm that:
• I understand the new flat monthly tuition model of $80/month for a 1-hour class and $100/month for a 1.5-hour class.
• I understand tuition remains the same regardless of whether a month contains four or five scheduled classes.
• I understand monthly tuition is due within the first week of each month.
• I understand a $20 late fee applies if tuition remains unpaid after the first week.
• I understand a valid credit or debit card must remain on file for every active account.
• I authorize Qala Creations to use the card on file as a backup payment method for outstanding balances and applicable late fees.
• I understand that at least 15 days' written notice is required to pause or discontinue enrollment.
• I understand and agree to the registration, attendance, payment, withdrawal, class, event, costume, and participation policies above.
• I acknowledge the inherent risks associated with dance and related physical activity.
• I understand that nothing in this agreement waives rights or liabilities that cannot legally be waived.
I represent that I am either the parent/legal guardian of the minor student or an adult student with authority to accept this agreement.
MY ELECTRONIC ACCEPTANCE CONFIRMS THAT I HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO THE TERMS ABOVE.
