Only qualified students will be selected for participation in concerts and performances.

Not all classes have concert in the goal session, parents and students should clearly understand this and communicate with the studio if you have concerns or questions.

Qualification criteria include but not limited to

Achievement of goals.

Regular practice

Commitment and consistency

Readiness for public performance

Younger or beginner-level students may not participate in concerts but will continue their foundational training.

Participation in productions, dance dramas, and external events is at the sole discretion of Thapasya.

Thapasya is not obligated to provide performance opportunities to all students until they meet the prescribed goals.

Performance-related costs may include but not limited to :

Purchase or rental of costumes, ornaments, and accessories

Individual contributions depending on production scale

Attendance Policy
Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes regularly and on time.

Any absences must be marked in advance through the designated application.

It is the student’s responsibility to catch up on any missed portions. Make-up sessions are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please note that class fees are payable regardless of attendance.

Students may be moved between batches based on their performance and progress.

Batch placements are not based on age, enrolment date, or social groupings.

Silence must be maintained during all sessions.

Only teachers may offer corrections unless otherwise invited.

Parents or guardians present during classes must support a quiet and respectful learning environment.

Frequent entry and exit during classes is discouraged.

Distracting other students is strictly not tolerated and students may be asked to leave if non compliant.

It is the responsibility of all parents and students to:

Read teacher notes after each class via the online portal.

Watch and review class videos provided in the portal to support practice and improvement.

Communicate directly to the teacher if you have any concerns via text or call.

The tuition will be posted on first of every month and there will be 7 days to make a payment if you are not enrolled in auto pay . After 7 days there will be a late payment fee of $2 added to your posted tuition.

If you are currently training in a particular dance form under another teacher, you are not permitted to enrol for the same dance form at Thapasya.
You must openly disclose your current training status and fully discontinue from your previous dance school before joining Thapasya.

Likewise, if you choose to join another school for the same dance form after enrolling at Thapasya, your training at Thapasya will be discontinued.

This policy is in place to maintain the integrity of the learning process and to show respect to all gurus and institutions involved.

Maintaining Discipline Across Dance Forms

In rare cases where a student is training in Bollywood or other non-classical dance forms alongside their training at Thapasya, there is a possibility of influence from the non-structured nature of those styles.
If such influences begin to affect the discipline, technique, or progress expected in classical training at Thapasya, you may be asked to make a choice between the two paths.
This may include the option — or requirement — to discontinue your training at Thapasya in order to preserve the integrity of the classical journey.

At Thapasya Academy of Dance, we take pride in showcasing the progress and talent of our students. As part of our promotional and educational efforts, we may take photographs and videos of students during classes, performances, rehearsals, workshops, and related events.

This form seeks your consent to use such media content on our official platforms including, but not limited to:

Website

Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

Printed materials

Newsletters

Event promotions


Consent

By signing this waiver, I hereby grant Thapasya Academy of Dance permission to:

1. Record and capture photographs and videos of myself/my child during classes, performances, and events associated with the academy.


2. Use, reuse, publish, and republish such media content in whole or in part, with or without names, for purposes including promotional, marketing, documentation, and educational use.


3. Edit or modify the content without needing further approval, provided it is used in a respectful and appropriate context aligned with the school’s values.



I understand that:

These materials may be visible to the general public and shared by viewers.

No monetary compensation will be provided for the use of these images or recordings.

I can withdraw my consent at any time in writing, understanding that any content already published cannot be removed retroactively from public or third-party domains.


Non-Consent (if applicable): Please let the studio know about your decision.

Fees are payable in advance as per the invoice issued.

Sessions cancelled by Thapasya will be added as Credit to your account.

Fee waivers may be considered in the following situations:

The student is unwell for more than one session and has notified.

Planned holidays exceeding one week.

Non-attendance during optional school holiday classes.

A one-time enrolment fee of $50 is applicable upon joining.

A 50% discount applies to the second class (with lower fee) if enrolled in multiple dance forms by single student

All payments must be made on or before the due date stated in the invoice.

All students are required to wear the prescribed uniform during class.
