Code of Conduct
At Studio Four13, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inspiring environment for all dancers, parents, instructors, and staff. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behavior and participation within our studio. By enrolling at Studio Four13, all parties agree to uphold the following standards:
FOR STUDENTS
Respect for Others
Treat all instructors, classmates, and studio staff with kindness, patience, and respect.
Be supportive of fellow dancers; no bullying, gossip, or exclusion will be tolerated.
Commitment & Participation
Arrive on time, in proper attire, and ready to dance.
Regular attendance is expected. Notify the studio in advance if you must miss class.
Responsibility
Take care of studio property and keep common areas clean.
Bring all required shoes, costumes, and materials to each class or rehearsal.
Positive Attitude
Keep a can-do, encouraging attitude in all classes and rehearsals.
Accept constructive feedback graciously and always try your best.
Safety First
Follow all studio safety guidelines, including warm-up protocols and any health precautions.
Refrain from dangerous behavior, horseplay, or inappropriate use of equipment.
FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Support Studio Policies
Ensure your child adheres to all class rules, dress codes, and attendance policies.
Review and support all studio communications and deadlines, including performance expectations.
Communication
Address concerns respectfully and privately with staff or directors—never during or immediately after class.
Use appropriate channels (email or scheduled meetings) to discuss your child’s progress or any issues.
Performance Etiquette
Refrain from negative comments about other students, parents, or staff.
Celebrate all dancers’ achievements with positivity and grace.
Respect the Learning Environment
Avoid distracting or interrupting classes. Observations must be pre-arranged or occur on designated days.
FOR INSTRUCTORS & STAFF
Professionalism
Be prepared, punctual, and positive for all classes and rehearsals.
Provide a nurturing yet disciplined environment conducive to learning and artistic growth.
Encouragement & Inclusion
Treat all students with fairness and respect, offering equal opportunities for participation and feedback.
Be approachable and open to communication with parents and students alike.
Leadership
Set the example through respectful behavior, organization, and accountability.
Intervene immediately and appropriately in any cases of misconduct or unsafe behavior.
CONSEQUENCES FOR VIOLATIONS
Failure to adhere to the Studio Four13 Code of Conduct may result in the following:
Verbal warning
Parent/student meeting
Temporary suspension from class
Permanent dismissal from the studio (in cases of severe or repeated offenses)
By enrolling in Studio Four13, all students and parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to uphold this Code of Conduct in full. Our shared commitment to respect, discipline, and joy in dance helps our community thrive.
