At Muse Dance Company, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all dancers, families, and staff. Enrollment at the studio constitutes agreement to comply with the following Code of Conduct.
Respect & Behavior
Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate conduct of any kind will not be tolerated.
If bullying or disrespectful behavior occurs during class, the dancer will be asked to leave class immediately.
Dancers must show respect toward teachers, staff, classmates, parents, and all studio personnel at all times.
Disrespect toward a teacher or staff member will result in immediate removal from class.
Classroom Expectations
Dancers are expected to listen, follow instructor directions, and participate respectfully and safely.
Cell phones and electronic devices are not permitted during class or during class transitions, unless expressly authorized by an instructor for emergency purposes.
Disruptive behavior that interferes with instruction or learning will not be permitted.
Required Attire
To ensure safety, professionalism, and proper technique:
Street clothing is not permitted during class.
Dance activewear is required, including leotards, shorts, skirts, fitted leggings, or other form‑fitting dancewear.
Absolutely no jeans or baggy clothing are permitted.
Dancers who arrive in attire not suitable for class will be provided with studio dancewear to wear during class time.
Dancers must wear the appropriate dance shoes for each class.
Failure to meet attire requirements may result in removal from class.
Food, Drinks & Personal Belongings
Food and snacks brought into the studio must be cleaned up immediately.
Water is permitted in spill‑proof containers only.
The studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
Facility Care
All dancers and families must respect the studio building and property, including floors, mirrors, restrooms, changerooms, and waiting areas.
Any intentional damage may result in financial responsibility for repair or replacement.
Communication Policy
All routine communication must be conducted through WhatsApp, the studio portal, or email.
Phone calls and text messages are reserved for emergent situations only.
Messages sent via non‑approved channels may not receive a response.
Parent & Guardian Conduct
Parents and guardians must communicate respectfully and professionally with staff and other families.
Concerns or questions must be addressed privately, never during class time or in front of students.
Disciplinary Action
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in one or more of the following actions, at the sole discretion of the studio:
1. Verbal warning
2. Immediate removal from class
3. Written warning to dancer and/or parent/guardian
4. Temporary suspension from classes
5. Dismissal from the studio
Severe or repeated violations—including but not limited to bullying, disrespect toward staff, unsafe behavior, or disregard for studio policies—may result in immediate dismissal without warning.
No refunds or credits will be issued for classes missed, suspended, or terminated due to disciplinary action.
Acknowledgement
By enrolling at Muse Dance Company, families acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to comply with this Code of Conduct. Compliance with these policies is required for continued participation in studio programs.
