To set your dancer up for success in, it really does start with dress code. Below are basic directions. For full details, visit the Dress Code on http://rhythmmotiondance.com/rec-dresscode. UNIFORM Regular dance classes: - Girls: black bodysuit and pink tights. Saturday Classes (Boogie Babies, Mini Movers, Tiny Tap, Kinder Acro) may wear any coloured bodysuit however we recommend black as it may be required for recitals as well. - Boys: Black pants that are not restricting to movement and black shirt (tank or short sleeved). Spring/Summer classes: form-fitting dancewear works best. Fitted shirt and shorts is also acceptable. Dance Camp: dancers should wear weather-appropriate active wear. Recitals: visit the Dress Code on http://rhythmmotiondance.com/rec-dresscode. FOOTWEAR Regular & Spring/Summer technique classes: follow the dress code: http://rhythmmotiondance.com/rec-dresscode. Dance Camp: dancers should wear clean indoor sneakers or jazz or ballet shoes. HAIR Make sure your dancer has their hair pulled back and out of the way so that it doesn’t become a hindrance or get in their way. The best hair solution often depends on your individual dancer and their hair. For example, very long hair does best in a low bun or braid so that it doesn’t get stepped on. Shorter hair will be just fine in a low ponytail. JEWELRY Jewelry and dance don’t mix well. For the safety of your dancer, and the teacher, only stud earrings are allowed. NOTE: There are many second hand shoes in our lobby available to borrow until no longer in use. You can also find great second hand shoes in the KL and Area Dance wear sale/Exchange Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1207522615935059/) or order via the forms found on http://rhythmmotiondance.com/rec-dresscode -------------------------------------- I hereby acknowledge that I have read and understand the dress code outlined above and on the Rhythm & Motion Academy of Dance by Alison website.
