Odyssey Dance Studio –Parent Policy Handbook
Please take a moment to review the full policy document below.
Attendance & Advancement
Report all absences to the office before class time. Unreported absences are marked unexcused.
Regular attendance is required for class progression and advancement.
Excessive absences, excused or not, may affect placement or performance eligibility.
Missed classes may be made up at or below the student’s level, pending availability and advance approval.
Students arriving more than 10 minutes late will observe the class to avoid injury from missing warm-up.
Advancement Criteria
Attendance: Consistent and timely
Technical Skill: Posture, strength, musicality, clarity, performance ability
Attitude: Positivity, openness to feedback, teamwork
Placement and advancement are determined by the Studio Owner/Ownerss and ODS faculty. Students may remain at the same level for multiple years.
Missed Classes
No refunds or credits for missed classes due to personal reasons (vacations, schedule conflicts, illness without medical documentation).
Make-up classes may be scheduled at or below the student's level, subject to availability.
If a make-up is not scheduled, the class is forfeited.
Missed classes do not reduce tuition — studio expenses remain the same regardless of attendance.
Health & Wellness
Notify ODS of any medical conditions or injuries that could affect participation.
Injured students should attend and observe unless medically excused.
Rejoining class after extended illness/injury requires written medical clearance.
