To ensure a positive experience for everybody involved, it is important that STUDENTS, PARENTS (INCLUDING CARERS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS), EXTENDED FRIENDS, FAMILY MEMBERS AND STAFF understand and comply with the following information below.
STUDENT ETIQUETTE/DRESS CODE
1. Demonstrate respect for Teachers, Parents, Staff and Other Students always.
2. Arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled class.
3. Wear comfortable athletic or dance clothing that covers the knees. Loose fitted tops and a separate pair of clean sneakers that have non-marking soles are required.
4. Bring a water bottle to class. There will be bottled water for purchase when needed.
5. Attend class regularly unless ill or injured, or in the event of a family emergency.
6. Crew Classes are to honor commitments made to the studio by attending classes, rehearsals and performances above other social events.
7. Always serve as a role model to younger students, including appropriate language and behavior.
8. Mobile phones should be switched off or in silent mode and are not to be used during class unless permitted by your teacher for filming/rehearsing purposes.
9. No food or chewing gum inside the studio. Clean up after yourself!
10. Show respect and care for studio equipment and facility.
PARENT (INCLUDING CARERS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS) ETIQUETTE
1. Demonstrate respect for Teachers, Students, Staff and Other Parents always.
2. Read email updates and keep up to date with current activities and important information.
3. Ensure siblings are always supervised, equipment is treated with care and the waiting area is clean.
4. Please utilize the waiting area while classes are in session. Refrain from entering unless invited by a teacher.
5. Support StyleFx Studios by encouraging students to show commitment and positivity while working to the best of their own ability.
6. Refrain from taking photos or videos without permission.
7. Respect our approach to establishing and maintaining professional relationships with our students and parents by ensuring ALL contact is made via the office in-person, by phone, email or StyleFx social media accounts.
8. Raise any concerns with a teacher or staff member by making an appointment through the above contact channels.
9. Please pay registration and tuition in a timely manner. Additional fees apply for late payments.
10. Children must be picked up from the waiting area or accompanied by a Teacher, Staff or Other Parent.
STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS MUST NOT:
1. Develop any “special” relationships with students that could be seen as favoritism.
2. Exhibit behaviors with students which may be construed as unnecessarily physical.
3. Put students at risk of abuse.
4. Engage in open discussions of a mature or adult nature in the presence of children.
5. Use inappropriate language in the presence of children.
6. Express personal views on cultures, race or sexuality in the presence of children.
7. Discriminate against anyone in relation to culture, race, ethnicity or disability.
DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
INAPPROPRIATE, DISRESPECTFUL OR AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR BY STUDENTS, PARENTS (INCLUDING CARERS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS), EXTENDED FRIENDS AND FAMILY, STAFF OR VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE CANCELLATION OF ENROLMENT WITH NO REFUND OR FURTHER DISCUSSION OR IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT OR CONTRACT.
A BREACH OF THE CODE OF CONDUCT WILL RESULT IN ONE WRITTEN WARNING. FURTHER BREACHES MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE CANCELLATION OF ENROLMENT WITH NO REFUND OR FURTHER DISCUSSION OR IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT OR CONTRACT.
