Wolf's Performing Arts
Following are policies to be aware of. Please review, approve/sign and feel free to see an Office Assistant or reach out to Laura or Amanda if you have any questions.

ADHERENCE TO ATTIRE STANDARDS

Students are to adhere to the attire, hair and jewelry standards for each class (see Welcome Letter.) We will communicate with families if there are discrepancies by sending home a reminder note.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD ON FILE

All families must have a credit/debit card on file for registration, tuition and costume payments. Cards are processed on the 15th of each month for the next month. If you would rather pay by check or cash, simply submit your payment before the 15th of each month. However, families must still have a credit/debit card on file as a backup method of payment.

DETAILS FOR POSTS AND CHARGES

Charges are posted to accounts on the 1st of each month, at which time statements are emailed to families. Payments are due on the 15th of each month for the next month. The tuition collected on/near August 15th is for September, the tuition collected on/near September 15th is for October and so on. May’s tuition amount is based on the date of the Showcase and will be prorated for a partial month. April 15th (for May) is the last date that tuition is collected for the 2025/26 season.

To simplify monthly tuition, it is calculated based on the season as a whole and divided among all the months from September through May. Therefore, all monthly payments are the same regardless of number of classes in a month. Class fees take into account the expectation that we will miss a few days throughout the year due to holidays and inclement weather and therefore no adjustments will be made to the monthly class fee for canceled classes. However, there will also be no additional charges for Saturday camps, recital rehearsals, dress rehearsals, extra practices, etc. Additional missed classes will have make up days scheduled.

LATE FEES

Late accounts will incur a $25 fee each month they are delinquent unless prior arrangements have been made. We are flexible, just let us know what’s going on and how we can help.

REFUNDS, MAKEUPS AND WITHDRAWALS

No refunds are given for students missing classes and monthly fees are due in full each month. However, if your student misses a class due to illness or a conflict, he/she may make it up by attending another class in addition to his/her own within the following week or two. See the instructor or your Office Assistant for appropriate makeup classes.

Students may withdraw from a class with 30 days’ notice. Refunds will not be given for tuition already paid, but the student may finish through to the last date tuition was paid for.

Costume fees are refundable if we have not ordered the costume yet, but are subject to a $25 cancellation fee for administrative work already performed on behalf of the student by WPA staff and the work to process the refund.

If a student withdraws, the costume was already ordered and the family’s account is up to date, we will contact the family so they may pick up the costume when it arrives.


LIABILITY AND PHOTO/MEDIA WAIVER
I understand that participation in Wolf’s Performing Arts will involve individual and group pictures, both candid and formal, and that those pictures may be used for press releases, articles, ads, website pages or other promotional activity and news dissemination. If you do not wish for your child to be included in these images, please see your Office Assistant so we can let staff know.


RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
We understand that participation in any type of sport or performing art has its risks. We accept this risk and release Wolf’s Performing Arts and MarchingLinks, Inc. (parent company) and any related entities or rehearsal venues from liability for any type of injury including serious injury, paralysis and death. If necessary, we allow WPA and its staff to call for medical attention or transport my child for emergency medical services. In consideration of my/my child’s participation in activities with Wolf's Performing Arts (Wolf's), I hereby release, discharge, and covenant not to sue Wolf's, its respective administrators, directors, agents, officers, volunteers, coaches, instructors, subcontractors and employees, other participants and their families, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of the premises at which the activity takes place (each considered one of the “Releasees” herein) from all liability, claims, demands, losses or damages on my account or my minor child’s account, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise including negligent rescue operations and further agree that if, despite this release, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk, I, my minor child, or anyone on my or my child’s behalf, makes a claim against any or all of the Releasees, I will indemnify, save and hold harmless such Releasees from any loss, liability, damage or cost including attorney’s fees, which Releasees may incur as a result of such claim. I have read the RELEASE & WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it and have signed it freely and without inducement or assurance of any nature and I intend for this to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability for myself and my minor child to the greatest extent allowed by law and agree that if any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid, the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect.

This waiver must be on file before your child participates in classes/rehearsals.

TRIAL CLASSES: Students taking a trial class do not need to purchase any items for their first class. Once a student is enrolled in a class the proper class attire is required.

Dance with Me! - Students will wear pink leotards, pink dance skirt, ballet-pink tights and pink leather or canvas (not satin) ballet shoes.Longer hair is to be put in a bun and/or clipped completely up and off the face and neck. Pony tails are not acceptable for ballet students. For ballet shoes with the ties, tie the strings in a double knot and then cut the strings so that they will stay put and look neat.




Dance with Me Caregiver - Caregiver should wear clothing they can move in! Outside shoes are not permitted in the studio, so please plan accordingly. 




Tumble with Me-  Students will be required to wear the following: leotards with dance shorts, biketards or unitards.  Students may NOT wear sweat pants, tshirts, tank tops, baggy shorts as these items shift during class and cause both modesty and safety issues.   Students will take class in bare feet.  Boys are to wear bike shorts and a form fitting shirt.  Acro & Tumbling  students must also wear their hair in a bun or braids.  For safety reasons, no loose hair or long ponytails.




Tumble with Me Caregiver - Caregiver should wear clothing they can move in! Outside shoes are not permitted on the tumbling mats, so please plan accordingly. 




Creative Movement A, B, C- Students will wear pink leotards, pink dance skirt, ballet-pink tights and pink leather or canvas (not satin) ballet shoes.Longer hair is to be put in a bun and/or clipped completely up and off the face and neck. Tiny Tappers A,B,C - Students will wear pink leotards, pink dance skirt, ballet-pink tights and black patent, velcro closure tap shoes for the girls.  *Boys will wear black dance pants or similar, black or white tshirt, and lace up tap shoes.




Combo A, B, & C (Ballet, Tap, & Baton)- Students will wear Light Blue leotards, Light Blue  dance skirt, ballet-pink tights and pink leather or canvas (not satin) ballet shoes. Longer hair is to be put in a bun and/or clipped completely up and off the face and neck. Pony tails are not acceptable for ballet students. For ballet shoes with the ties, tie the strings in a double knot and then cut the strings so that they will stay put and look neat.  *Boys will wear black dance pants or similar, black ballet shoes and a black or white tshirt. Tap students wear black patent, velcro closure tap shoes for the girls and lace up tap shoes for the boys.  Combo Students who crossover to Junior Jazz will wear there normal combo attire and put on Black Fitted dance shorts.




Level 1 & 2 Ballet/Tap/Jazz -  Students will wear Royal Blue leotards, Royal Blue dance skirt, ballet-pink tights and pink leather or canvas (not satin) ballet shoes. Tap students wear black, lace up or slip on tap shoes for the girls (not the shiny finish Velcro shoes) and lace up tap shoes for the boys.   Longer hair is to be put in a bun and/or clipped completely up and off the face and neck. Pony tails are not acceptable for ballet students.   For ballet shoes with the ties, tie the strings in a double knot and then cut the strings so that they will stay put and look neat.  Or students may opt for the ballet shoes with the crossed elastic.  For jazz, students may wear the same attire and simply switch shoes to "sun" colored jazz shoes ("boots").  They may also remove the black skirt and wear Black Fitted dance shorts. Boys will wear black dance pants or similar, black ballet shoes and a black tshirt.




Level 3 Ballet/Tap/Jazz -  Students will wear Eggplant leotards, Eggplant dance skirt, ballet-pink tights and pink leather or canvas (not satin) ballet shoes.  Tap students wear black, lace up or slip on tap shoes for the girls (not the shiny finish Velcro shoes) and lace up tap shoes for the boys.   Longer hair is to be put in a bun and/or clipped completely up and off the face and neck. Pony tails are not acceptable for ballet students.   For ballet shoes with the ties, tie the strings in a double knot and then cut the strings so that they will stay put and look neat.  Or students may opt for the ballet shoes with the crossed elastic.  For jazz, students may wear the same attire and simply switch shoes to "sun" colored jazz shoes ("boots").  They may also remove the black skirt and wear Black Fitted dance shorts. Level 4 Ballet/Tap/Jazz/Pointe -  Students will wear Black or Any Color/Pattern leotards, Black or Any Color/Pattern dance skirt, ballet-pink tights and pink leather or canvas (not satin) ballet shoes.  Tap students wear black, lace up or slip on tap shoes for the girls (not the shiny finish Velcro shoes) and lace up tap shoes for the boys.   Longer hair is to be put in a bun and/or clipped completely up and off the face and neck. Pony tails are not acceptable for ballet students.   For ballet shoes with the ties, tie the strings in a double knot and then cut the strings so that they will stay put and look neat.  Or students may opt for the ballet shoes with the crossed elastic.  For jazz, students may wear the same attire and simply switch shoes to "sun" colored jazz shoes ("boots").  They may also remove the black skirt and wear dance shorts. Hip Hop All Levels - Students may wear any comfortable clothing including sweats, leggings, tees, tanks and sneakers.  We encourage students to wear long pants to protect knees during floor work and they may also wear knee pads.  Be sure that your hip hop dancer has a clean pair of dedicated dance sneakers that she/he changes into once they are at the studio.

Junior Jazz - Students may wear the same attire that they wear for their Combo class and just switch shoes to the "sun" colored jazz shoes ("boots").  They may also wear dance shorts over their leotard and tights. For non crossover students they need to wear leggings, small shorts with a tank or tee or they may wear leotard & tights with  "sun" colored jazz shoes ("boots").  Boys will wear black dance pants or similar and a black or white tshirt.




Competitive Baton - Students will wear black leggings or black dance shorts/tights along with the Wolf's tee provided.  Students may wear any type of dance shoe such as ballet or jazz shoes until we choose a costume and coordinating footwear.

Teaching Philosophy
A few of our main goals are to teach your child correct technique and to encourage accomplished performances in his or her chosen art. We also believe that performance art, especially in a class or team atmosphere, promotes poise, self-esteem, teamwork, responsibility and a good work ethic. We want to make sure that your student enjoys the lessons, that she/he is motivated to practice to master skills and is inspired to strive for a higher level of sportsmanship and teamwork. Performance art is a great means to those ends and we hope that you and your student take advantage of every opportunity provided at class, performances and competitions to discover and strengthen those qualities. Our goal is to produce outstanding performing artists. But just as importantly, we want to help nurture happy, well-rounded and self-confident students.

Newsletters and Communications
We put a lot of effort into communicating all important information on a timely basis to parents and students. As appropriate throughout the year, we will email a newsletter containing information about fundraisers, t-shirt orders, class schedules, performance schedules, etc. If other notifications come up between newsletters, we will email the information. Please be sure to check the email address/es that you registered with WPA. We want to be sure that everyone is updated on Wolf's Performing Arts information and that nothing is a surprise!

Staff
Wolf's is fortunate to count among our staff some of the most inspirational, creative, caring, experienced and involved instructors in the area. They are all looking forward to sharing their love of the performing arts with our students! During the regular season, Office Assistants are available every evening to take care of our students' and families' needs. During the summer, the instructor often acts as the OA and can help with questions before and after classes.

Online System and Class Payments
We are happy to continue our time-saving online system designed to keep track of every aspect of your family's WPA account. Each family will have a personal login to access the online system using the information you established during registration. (If you need a login, please see one of the Office Assistants for help or email office@wolfsperformingarts.com) In this online system you will be able to check class schedules, check balances for each student in your family including class tuitions, t-shirt orders, costume orders, etc, add/update credit cards on file and process payments.

Baton Orders
Loaner batons are provided for Combo students and Baton students. However, if a student would like to order a baton of his/her own, we will place an order in October. See your Office Assistant to place the order. All competitive twirlers need 2 batons. Older competitive twirlers need 3 batons.

Twirler Badges
Wolf's organizes our baton instruction with a "badge" system of advancement and recognition for twirlers. This system was developed by the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation and is similar to the way students test for colored belts in karate. Students will be provided with a list of skills to master for each twirling level. Testing will be performed on a regular basis and twirlers successfully completing a level will be presented with the appropriate color badge to sew on her/his jacket or gym bag. This system helps the students to organize their at-home practice efforts and helps the staff to recognize and reward twirling achievements.

All dancers, twirlers and acro students are to wear their hair off the face, in a bun, clip or pony tail.

No gum chewing during class, no large earrings or dangling jewelry, no rings or bracelets for twirlers.


Class Locations
For the summer sessions, all classes are held at the studio at 226 W. High St. Ebensburg (with the exception of Baton Camp, which is held at the Young People's Community Center at 300 Prave St.) Studio parking is available on the street, across the street in the parking lot behind the gazebo, behind the borough building or in the parking lot next to Everyday Gourmet. When parking at the studio, the meters do not need to be paid after 5PM. Please note - the spot in front of the garage door is for student drop off and pick up - no parking or waiting in this space. The police have said that drop off needs to be very short - like 20 seconds.

Conduct at Class
All students are to arrive on time, pay close attention during class, show respect for their instructors, their classmates and themselves. We expect everyone to work hard, get the most out of classes, but have fun too! To ensure that we do, students must be attentive to instructions and display proper class conduct at all times. Poor behavior will not be accepted. Good sportsmanship and great performances are our expectations!

Additional Enrollment
Enrollment for any of our classes with available spots will remain open, so if you would like to add a class, just let us know. Also, feel free to recommend a friend.

Wolf's Performing Arts takes pride in the many performing arts opportunities we provide to the young people of our community. We also take pride in our energetic students, our inspiring instructors, our helpful Office Assistants and our caring and engaged parents.
