Please review all class descriptions, policies, tuition information, and enrollment requirements before registering. By enrolling in classes, programs, camps, or events, you agree to abide by DancEast's policies regarding tuition, attendance, participation, and studio conduct.

I understand that DancEast communicates regarding classes, closures, performances, and all other information relevant to student dancers via email. I further understand that if I opt out of receiving mass email communications from DancEast, I will not receive any class-specific or DancEast school information via email, and I will be solely responsible for obtaining this information - including but not limited to updates, closures, schedule changes, performance information, and more - by other means.

1. I understand that each class for the August–May dance session is scheduled to meet 32 times per season, but tuition covers 30 classes. This allows for up to two (2) class cancellations due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond DancEast’s control without the need for a make-up class or refund. If more than two (2) cancellations occur, DancEast will either schedule make-up classes or issue a prorated refund for the additional missed classes.
For Summer Session classes and Dance Day Camp programs, if a cancellation occurs due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond DancEast’s control, a make-up class or camp day will be scheduled when possible. If a make-up cannot be reasonably scheduled, DancEast will issue an account credit or refund for the canceled class(es) or camp day(s).

2. I understand that DancEast will notify families via email if a class is canceled, and it is my responsibility to monitor my email to stay informed.

3. I understand this policy applies only to classes or programs canceled by DancEast and does not apply to absences by individual students.

1. I will not, under any circumstances, hold DancEast or its representatives responsible for any harm that may come to myself or my child while on the premises leased by DancEast Collective (DBA DancEast).

2. I agree that DancEast employees or representatives have permission to seek medical care for myself or my child, as needed.

3. I agree that I voluntarily seek classes provided at DancEast and acknowledge that I may be increasing my child's and my own risk of exposure to Covid-19 or other contagions by doing so.

4. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures and instruct my child to comply with all set procedures to help ensure the safest possible environment at DancEast.

1. I understand any student who behaves in a way that is distracting to other students may be asked to sit out of class. If the behavior continues, the student may be dismissed from the class. This is typically only necessary for students who are not yet developmentally ready for the class environment. In many such cases, students return later and participate successfully.

2. I understand if a student is dismissed for behavioral or developmental reasons, any tuition already paid for future unattended classes will be refunded.

1. Instructor Authority
I agree to comply with instructor directions and respect that they have authority over rules and discipline in the studio space.

2. Entrance and Exit Procedures
I understand that, in most cases, dancers who have class in DancEast Studio A will enter through the DancEast lobby and exit through the direct-to-studio door located down the hall from the lobby entrance. This procedure is intended to avoid overcrowding in the lobby. I also understand that DancEast may, at its sole discretion, alter entrance and exit procedures, and that I will be notified of any changes in advance via email.

3. Water Fountain and Bottles
I understand that the DancEast water fountain is available for bottle refill only, and that dancers should bring their own water bottles to class.

4. Restroom Access
I understand that the DancEast restroom is for use by dancers and staff only. Parents and other guests may use the public restroom available in the shared common area of the EastSide Station building.

5. Cell Phone Use
I agree to silence or turn off my cell phone while in the DancEast lobby or studio, as well as in the common areas of the EastSide Station building. If I need to take a call, I will step outside.

6. Food and Drink Policy
I understand that no food or drink is allowed in the DancEast lobby.

7. Shared Hallway Courtesy
I understand that the EastSide Station hallway is a shared building space. As a guest of DancEast, I agree to be quiet and mindful of others while in this area.

8. Photo & Video Sharing
I understand that DancEast may use photos and videos taken during classes and performances on social media and other platforms managed or purchase by DancEast. These materials are used to celebrate dancers and share the vibrancy of the DancEast community, and DancEast never sells images or uses them for external advertising without direct, individual consent. I further understand that if I prefer not to have photos or videos that include my child shared publicly, I must opt out via the Public Photos Opt-out waiver available to me through my DancEast parent portal. I understand this opt-out will apply only to public sharing. Videos of youth performances will always be shared privately via direct links. I further understand that I am expected to NOT share photos or videos I personally take of other children at DancEast without the explicit permission of those children’s parents or guardians.

1. I understand that a $60 non-refundable registration fee (per dancer) will be charged upon acceptance of my registration for the August–May dance session only. Summer Session and Dance Day Camp registrations do not include this fee unless otherwise specified.

2. I understand that for the August–May session, the first tuition payment will be charged on August 3, or immediately upon registration if enrolling after August 3. Future installment payments will be charged on the 1st of each month from September through May, or on the closest preceding business day if the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday. For Summer Session or Dance Day Camp, tuition will be charged as one (1) full payment at the time of registration or prior to the start of the program, as specified at enrollment.

3. I understand that each August–May tuition installment is a portion of the full session tuition and is not payment for a specific month of classes.

4. I understand that if I prefer to pay the full August–May session tuition upfront (which qualifies for a 10% discount), I must contact DancEast directly at info@danceast.org to request that option. Full-payment discounts do not apply to Summer Session or Dance Day Camp unless explicitly stated.

5. I understand that any declined payment not resolved within five (5) days will result in a $25 late fee.

6. I understand that a non-optional $80 performance fee will be charged on February 15 for the August–May session. An additional $40 fee will be charged if my child is enrolled in more than one class.

7. I understand that performance fees cover production costs only and do not include audience tickets, which must be purchased separately to attend any showcase.

8. I understand that enrollment in an August–May class is a commitment to pay the full session tuition. Enrollment in Summer Session or Dance Day Camp is a commitment to pay the full tuition for that program.

9. I understand that to withdraw my child from an August–May class, I must submit a Withdrawal Request Form (available on the DancEast website) by the 15th of the month for withdrawal to take effect on the 1st of the following month. I understand that refunds or tuition forgiveness are granted solely at DancEast’s discretion. Summer Session and Dance Day Camp tuition is non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

10. I understand that no withdrawal requests for the August–May session will be accepted after February 15 under any circumstances.
