PLACEMENT POLICY
Class placement is solely at the discretion of the directors. Miss Lindsay is extremely careful and specific when choosing the precise level class for each student. It is very important to remember that all students are individuals with very different talents, skills, and ability levels; therefore, they will not progress at the same rate. In maintaining a high quality of dance education, it is impossible to keep the same students together in a class, year after year. The most important thing is that the student should be comfortable in their learning environment, and in no way should they feel inhibited.
Just because your child's class name does not change, does not mean they will not be learning any new techniques. On the contrary, they will be learning those new techniques, but at a different pace - one better suited for their skill level. The class names are simply a way of identifying the classes separately, for business and scheduling purposes. We have many classes; therefore, it is impossible to have a different class name every year. I ask that you please do not become a competitive parent and require your child in a specific class solely because you feel it is more advanced, demanding, and/or challenging. Lastly, we cannot stress enough just how important it is to remember that every individual child develops and progresses in their own unique way, and in a way that is most beneficial for their own skill level.
ENROLLMENT
There is a non-refundable enrollment fee of $20.00, per student, due at time of registration, along with your first month's tuition. All students are required to complete a registration form when they begin a new full year season: September-May. It is important to note that Dance with Miss Lindsay reserves the right to cancel any class for which there are less than 4 students enrolled.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
You may register on-line at: www.DancewithMissLindsay.com Payments are made by either check, cash, or online with a debit or credit card. If you decide to pay by check, please mail to: Dance with Miss Lindsay, PO Box 1072, Palm Springs, CA, 92263. Please note that any cash or checks paid at the studio must be placed in a sealed envelope - along with your child's name, class, and amount written on the front of the envelope. A receipt will then be given to you upon request. Also, if your child takes more than one class a week they will receive a 10% discount on their tuition, although this does not apply to family discounts, and is solely for each individual student. Remember that when you enroll a dancer at this studio, you are enrolling for an entire season.
There will be a $5.00 late charge on all payments received after the 10th of each month, along with a $30.00 returned check fee - NO EXCEPTIONS. * Please note: ALL PAID TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
*We understand that hardships may arise, if you have any questions, I ask that you please communicate them with us prior to tuition due date so that an arrangement may be made.

Pre-Ballet/Tap Combo -- Black or Pink Leotard*
Ballet 1 –Hot Pink Leotard*
Ballet 2 – Light Blue Leotard*
Ballet 3 – Royal Blue Leotard*
Ballet 4 -- Burgundy Leotard*
Ballet 5 – Black Leotard*
*Any style: Tank, Camisole, or Cap sleeve leotard
Important Note:
* All Ballet students must wear pink tights and pink ballet shoes.
* All Hip Hop/Jazz/Tap students must wear a leotard, or fitted camisole, along with fitted pants or booty shorts, and low top sneakers, jazz shoes, or tap shoes.
MISSED CLASSES
If a dancer is going to be absent from class it is necessary to call the studio and leave a message or email. Please do not bring the dancer to class is they have a fever. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS HAVE DANCER USE THE RESTROOM BEFORE CLASS!!! ESPECIALLY THE LITTLE ONES!
STUDENT ETIQUETTE
* Use restroom before class.
* Be respectful of instructors, as well as fellow dancers, at all times.
COMMUNICATIONS
We use online communications as our primary source of contact with our studio parents and dancers, so when completing your registration information, please be sure to include your email address. Therefore, it is important to let us know if you DO NOT have any online capability. If this is the case, then we will note this in your student record and advise you of studio events via telephone, notes, or regular mail.
In addition to email, we will be periodically sending your child home with announcements/notices of any updates that may occur. Due to this change, we ask that you please check your child's dance bags every week in order to stay fully informed. Also, you can stay current on all studio information through our website: DancewithMissLindsay.com. As needed, we post all studio events, practices, and any needed information on our website for your convenience.
We understand that telephone tag can be a barrier to expeditious communication, so we suggest that if you regularly use email, to contact us of any questions via email, and that way we can exchange detailed messages more efficiently. CREATIVE RIGHTS
All movement, chorography, and material used for performance are the intellectual property and creative work of the instructor, and dance creations of the dance studio. Use of choreography, without verbal or written permission by the instructor, is prohibited. This includes any performance, videotaping, distribution, online posting, and/or photography used for advertisement.
PHOTO WAIVER
I hereby give permission to Dance with Miss Lindsay to use my student's name and photograph in all forms and media, whether electronic, print, digital, or electronic publishing via the internet, for advertising, trade, and any other lawful purposes.
I have received or will obtain a copy of Dance with Miss Lindsay policies and will take the responsibility to carefully read and follow the rules and policies therein. I understand that Dance with Miss Lindsay does not give credit and/or refunds for class(es) missed due to holiday, vacation, illness, weather, etc. I further understand that there are specific risks of physical or property damages, losses, or injury that may result from my or my child’s participation with Dance with Miss Lindsay, and I voluntarily assume the risks associated with such participation.

Electronic Signature Agreement. By selecting the "I Accept" checkbox, I am signing this agreement electronically. I agree this electronic signature is the legal equivalent of my manual signature on this agreement.
I have had sufficient opportunity to read this entire document. I have read and understood it, and I agree to be bound by its terms.
