Use of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogging, and other online social-media vehicles is commonplace. This policy is intended to provide Studio One Dance by Cindy students and parents with guidelines to eliminate any confusion concerning the use of social media.
•	You DO NOT have permission to reveal any information that compromises Studio One Dance by Cindy. By that we mean you are forbidden to share personal information about the director, other students or their families, or anything that is proprietary and/or confidential to them or Studio One Dance by Cindy. 
•	Students and parents should neither claim nor imply that they are speaking on behalf of Studio One Dance by Cindy. If there is ever a doubt/problem or question that needs to be answered those need to be directed to Miss Cindy via a note in the black payment box or an email then she will contact the necessary parties. Social Media is not the place to handle issues concerning studio business or persons at the studio. 
•	Students and parents should never make derogatory comments about any student, instructor or other parent from Studio One Dance by Cindy .
•	Never post anything that could compromise the self-esteem of students who attend Studio One Dance by Cindy. 
•	We prefer that you not post any of the choreography from the dances your child’s class is learning. The dances are presented at the recital and that’s when they look their best. If you want to send videos of class or rehearsals to family members that cannot be at the recital please do so in an e-mail or a private message on Facebook. Studio One Dance by Cindy owns the copyright to all choreography taught at the school. 
•	Competition team members and parents are NOT allowed to post or e-mail any of the competition dances ever not even of the rehearsals to anyone that is not part of the team. All competitions we attend have a strict policy on flash photography as well as video recordings and if a parent, student or anyone associated with the team are caught recording, even our studio dances, or taking photos the entire studio can be disqualified. 
•	Respect the law, including those laws governing defamation, discrimination, harassment, and copyright and fair use. As stated in this policy, parents and students should never post negative comments about our studio or any other schools or teachers. Also, please do not post negative comments about any activities such as competitions, conventions, and performances or about the directors of those events.
•	Ensure that your social networking conduct is consistent with all of the policies contained in this policy. 
•	Disregard for any of this policy could result in suspension from the studio. 
•	We do encourage recording the dance if you are doing so to help your child at home.
By signing below you are stating attesting that you, the parent/guardian have read and understand the Social Media policies. You are attesting that you will see that your children along with anyone else who may be bringing your child to class are aware of the policy.
