To withdraw your child from our program, Artist Avenue requires a written notice via email with a 30-day notice period. You will be billed for the remainder of the current month following the notice of withdrawal.

I understand that all annual classes at Artist Avenue include participation in the Year-End Show as part of the program.

If I do not wish for my child to participate in the Year-End Show, I agree to provide written notice by email no later than January 31, 2027. Notice must be received by this deadline to be valid.

If written notice is not received by the stated deadline, I acknowledge and agree that:

Applicable costume fees will be charged to my account

Costume fees are $70 per class and are non-refundable once costumes have been ordered, purchased, or production has begun.

I understand that:

Costume fees are separate from tuition fees
Participation in the Year-End Show is considered part of the annual program and not optional after the deadline has passed

Sessional Classes Exception:
Costume fees and Year-End Show participation do not apply to sessional classes unless explicitly stated. Withdrawal from sessional classes must still follow the studio’s withdrawal policy to avoid charges. Refunds will not be given on sessional classes.

By proceeding with registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined above.

General Liability Waiver

1. Acknowledgment of Risk

I, the undersigned participant (or parent/guardian if the participant is a minor), acknowledge that participation in dance classes, rehearsals, performances, workshops, and all other activities offered by Artist Avenue (“the Studio”) is voluntary.

I understand that participation in physical activity involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional stress, illness, or property damage.

2. Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in Studio activities. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries such as sprains, strains, fractures, concussions, overuse injuries, and injuries resulting from falls, collisions, or physical exertion.

I understand that such risks exist even when proper instruction, supervision, and safety precautions are in place.

3. Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in Studio activities, I hereby release and discharge Artist Avenue, including its owners, directors, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, volunteers, and representatives (“Released Parties”), from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, damage, or death that may occur during participation or while on Studio premises, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This release applies whether such claims arise from negligence or otherwise, except where prohibited by law.

4. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to my participation or my child’s participation in Studio activities.

5. Medical Treatment

I authorize Artist Avenue staff to seek emergency medical assistance on behalf of myself or my child in the event of injury or illness occurring during participation in Studio activities.

I understand and agree that I am responsible for all medical costs incurred.

6. Acknowledgment of Understanding

By completing registration, I confirm that:

* I have read and understood this waiver in full
* I am voluntarily agreeing to its terms
* I understand that participation involves inherent risk
* This agreement applies to all current and future participation unless otherwise revoked in writing where permitted by law

I understand and agree that tuition at Artist Avenue is based on an annual program fee, which is divided into equal monthly payments for convenience.

These payments are not calculated based on the number of classes in any given month, but rather on a minimum of 31 classes offered throughout the full season.

I acknowledge that the Studio operates on a yearly schedule that includes planned closures and holidays, including but not limited to:

* Christmas Break
* February Break
* Spring Break
* Thanksgiving
* National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
* Remembrance Day
* May Long Weekend

I understand that classes will continue during the November school break.

I acknowledge and agree that:

* Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of scheduled breaks, holidays, or the number of classes in a given month
* Tuition will not be prorated, adjusted, or refunded due to these scheduled closures
* Dress rehearsals, performances, and other required program activities are included as part of the annual program and do not result in reduced tuition

By completing registration, I agree to pay the full monthly tuition amount for the duration of the season, regardless of attendance, scheduled breaks, or holidays.

Reach out to the studio if you wish to pay in full for the year. half the year is an additional 5% discount and full year is 10% on all classes besides the Total Package (as they receive up to 1250$ in discounts already)

Artist Avenue is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all students, families, staff, contractors, volunteers, and guests.

Expectations of Conduct

I agree to:

* Treat all staff, instructors, contractors, volunteers, students, and families with respect, courtesy, and professionalism at all times
* Communicate concerns in a constructive and respectful manner
* Support a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Refrain from disruptive or inappropriate behavior during classes, events, rehearsals, performances, competitions, and all Studio-related communications (including email and online platforms)
* Follow all Studio policies and ensure my child does the same

The following behaviors are not permitted:

* Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination
* Bullying or aggressive behavior
* Threats or abusive language
* Disrespectful or inappropriate communication toward staff, students, or families

Enforcement & Consequences

Artist Avenue reserves the right to take appropriate action if these expectations are not met.

This may include, but is not limited to:

* Verbal or written warnings
* Temporary suspension from classes or activities
* Removal from Studio premises or events
* Immediate withdrawal from programs without refund

All decisions will be made at the sole discretion of Artist Avenue and will prioritize the safety, well-being, and overall experience of the Studio community.

Payment, Late Fees & Withdrawal Policy (Binding Agreement)

This policy should be read in conjunction with the full Studio Policies available on the Artist Avenue website. In the event of any discrepancy, this agreement and the Studio’s official registration terms shall prevail.

1. Payment Terms

All tuition, private lessons, and associated fees are due on the 20th of the month prior to the services being provided.

1.1 Any balance not paid by the due date is considered past due.
1.2 A $35 late fee will be automatically applied every 21 days on any outstanding balance until paid in full.
1.3 Private lessons must be paid in advance and will be suspended immediately if the account becomes past due.
1.4 Accounts that remain unpaid 21 days after the due date may result in immediate suspension or removal from all programs until the balance is cleared.

Artist Avenue reserves the right to deny participation in classes, lessons, rehearsals, performances, or events for any account with an outstanding balance.

2. Responsibility for Payment

By registering, the account holder agrees:

2.1 They are fully responsible for all charges on the account, regardless of attendance.
2.2 Non-attendance does not pause, reduce, or cancel tuition or fees.
2.3 Failure to receive invoices, reminders, or communications does not waive or delay payment obligations or late fees.
2.4 All balances, including tuition, fees, and late charges, remain payable in full until settled.

3. 30-Day Written Withdrawal Policy (Strictly Enforced)

A minimum of 30 days written notice is required to withdraw from any program.

3.1 Notice must be submitted through official studio communication channels (email or designated withdrawal form).
3.2 The 30-day notice period begins only once written notice is received and confirmed by Artist Avenue.
3.3 If proper notice is not provided, the full tuition for the upcoming month will be charged, regardless of attendance.
3.4 Verbal notice, non-attendance, or informing an instructor does not constitute withdrawal.

During the 30-day notice period:

3.5 Students may continue attending classes, or
3.6 Choose not to attend; however, all fees remain payable in full.

Enrollment spaces are reserved in advance, and staffing and scheduling are committed based on registration. This policy ensures program stability and the ability to operate sustainably.

Artist Avenue reserves the right to take further action on overdue accounts, including:

4.1 Requiring a valid credit card on file for continued enrollment
4.2 Charging authorized payment methods for outstanding balances
4.3 Suspending or removing participation from all programs without refund
4.4 Referring unpaid balances to a third-party collections agency or pursuing legal recovery where necessary

Any additional costs incurred in the collection of outstanding balances may be added to the account where permitted by law.

* Lack of awareness or understanding of policies
* Scheduling conflicts or personal commitments

* Failure to read communications or agreements
