STUDIO & PAYMENT POLICIES
Monthly tuition is posted on the 1st of each month and account balances are due on the 7th. You will be given a 5-day grace period but if balances aren't paid by the 12th of the month, a 10% late fee will be applied. If account balances aren't paid by the last day of the month, dancers will have a hold put on their classes. Account balances must be paid in FULL. Payments go towards the oldest charges first.
ALL families must be enrolled in auto-pay. We will not accept cash payments.
Customers must enroll for drop-in classes through our studio software and pay online.
All students are allotted 4 free make up classes. Make up classes should be in the same style as the class that was missed. Please contact the studio via email to arrange your make up classes. Tuition is not adjusted for absences.
There will be 9 months of tuition payments (October-June). Tuition is based on 32 scheduled classes for the 2024-2025 season and is not adjusted for absences, Holidays, snow days, etc.
Dancers will perform in an annual recital in June. Location and date TBD.
Private lessons are available for all ALDA youth students to work on skills in any style of dance.
DRESS CODE
Hip hop dancers are allowed comfortable clothing and clean street sneakers. NO bare-feet, skirts, loose tops, any type of sandal or boot.
Ballet, jazz, lyrical and contemporary dancers must wear any color leotard, nude tights. Pink ballet shoes for girls, black for boys. Nude jazz shoes for ages 8 and under, black jazz shoes for ages 9+. Dancers are allowed to wear jazz shoes in lyrical, contemporary and musical theatre classes as well.
Musical theatre dancers are allowed comfortable clothing, no skirts.
Hair must be up for all classes.
Recital tickets will be available for purchase beginning in May.
Anyone affiliated with ALDA should not post anything negative about the studio, other dancers, instructors, or faculty on any social media platforms. Students may not post anything regarding drugs, sex, alcohol or any other inappropriate matter on social media. Above all else, our dancers are role models for our younger students and their social media should reflect that.
NO student cell phones are allowed in the classroom.
Water must be brought into the studio at the beginning of class/rehearsal. Dancers should not have to leave the classroom to get their water.
No running around or fooling around in the building. This includes parents and siblings.
Parents are not allowed into the classroom during class time or rehearsals for any reason, unless asked or invited by the instructor.
Parents may not request or dispute dancers placement for any team, class, group dance, solo opportunity, clinic, camp or any other condition of placement.
ALDA is entitled to change a dancer's placement at any point in the season for any reason. Reasons may include student behavior, parent behavior, absences, etc.
Gossiping will not be tolerated amongst students or parents about other
ALDA dancers, parents, or staff.
Students and parents are expected to display good sportsmanship to everyone.
ALDA is a drama free zone. This means that you are expected to be supportive, respectful and courteous to all instructors, team members and their families at all times. ALDA will not tolerate rudeness, jealousy, resentment and disrespect to another team member, their family, a teacher or the owner. If this behavior occurs, parents will be asked to leave the studio.
These policies have been put into place not only to ensure a positive experience for every dancer and their family but also to create a nurturing environment in which all of your children can be successful. Your dancers' progression and growth are important to us. Supporting and encouraging each other will be our studio's biggest success!
Failure to abide by any of these policies may result in dismissal from Alexis Lena Dance Arena.
