1. Deposit
A £20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the project.
2. Fees
All fees (deposit or full payment) are strictly non-refundable. Fees are used to pay for the production costs upfront prior to the project starting. All fees must be paid in full ahead of the project start date, by the date stated in the audition pack.
Food & Drink are not included and are not provided.
Tickets for the production are additional and need to be purchased directly from the Grove Theatre
SYP provides costumes and props for our productions, but parents may be asked to provide modesty wear, basic accessories and simple bits of costume if required.These are often
things you already have at home or will use again for future performances. We always encourage borrowing, and sourcing from charity shops where possible. These must be provided within a clear, labelled plastic box with a lid (at least 15L). This is to encourage tidiness and responsibility when backstage, and prevents lost property. Personal items should be labelled with the participant's full name.
3. Rehearsals & Structure
Rehearsals and performances are subject to changes in structure /times / dates or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances force majeure and/or in the event of Government guidelines regarding Covid-19 or other infectious diseases. SYP (OPDA Charity) will always endeavour to reschedule rehearsals and / or performances where possible and will comply with any government guidelines in relation to covid-19 or other infectious diseases that may be occurring at the time of the project, to help keep everyone safe. In the event of a cancellation due to this or other unavoidable reasons, refunds will not be given. Any tickets that may have been bought prior to a cancellation must be settled through the theatre.
4. Illness, Appointments & Commitment
In the event of a participant's illness or injury we may have remove them from the project for their own safety and wellbeing. In this instance refunds will not be given. Rehearsal times are subject to change or alteration, particularly on dress rehearsal and performance days. Any changes will be communicated as soon as feasibly possible, but please ensure children are fully available for everyday in the process. Due to the intensive nature of the project, we expect our cast to arrive ready to start at their allotted rehearsal time, well-rested and prepared. Any other appointments should be made outside rehearsal hours. This includes medical appointments.
5. Auditions
All cast member are required to audition.
Final decisions on casting, groupings, material covered, timings and anything else related to the project are at SYP's discretion. Whilst we always strive to keep everybody involved throughout rehearsal, rehearsals and their content are at the Creative Team's prerogative and based on the needs of the overall production.
6. We have a zero tolerance policy on bullying. Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic and other offensive language and behaviour towards any person (participant, volunteer or staff) will not be tolerated and may be asked to leave the project. In this instance fees will not be refunded.
7. Participants aged 11 and under must be dropped off and picked up by a responsible adult, or an older sibling / participant if agreed in advance.
8. Participants must dress appropriately for rehearsals in a professional environment. This includes ensuring clothes fit modestly, are comfortable to move /dance in, and you have appropriate footwear. No crop tops, jeans, sandals, short shorts / hot pants, skirts etc.
9. SYP accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of personal belongings while on the premises. Do not bring expensive items on to site.
10. We accept no liability for any injuries sustained whilst participating in rehearsals or performances. Activities area lways thoroughly risk assessed and subject to ongoing risk assessment by staff. You must ensure the information on your registration account is kept up-to-date, including but not limited to, emergency numbers, addresses, medical details, SEN details, at risk status, mental health issues etc.
