In consideration for preparation of the annual dance recital, my child will attend all dance classes with the exception of illness, scheduled vacations or bad weather conditions. **COMPETITION TEAM MEMBERS: dancers are allowed no more than 4 absences for the year. If competition dancers miss more than 4 competition classes, they will be unable to compete.
Our competition team is by invitation only. We plan to attend three regional competitions total. These are subject to change. Competition dancers are required to take our Leaps and Turns class and Ballet Technique class at ADS. We will offer many fundraisers throughout the course of the year to help offset competition costs throughout the season.
Each dancer will be required to purchase at least one costume per class. Costume prices will vary depending on the dance style. We will do our best to keep the prices of all costumes reasonable and affordable. (Nude/tan tights are required for the recital; ballet pink tights are required for ballet costumes). All costume money is non-refundable and non-transferable. **We do our best to measure dancers and order the proper size. We order costumes based on the costume company's sizing charts; however, some costumes may need alterations. **The studio is NOT responsible for any costume alterations. (We can provide suggestions of local seamstresses)
It is very important that our students grow to be respectful, polite & well-rounded. Our dancer etiquette expectations will help to encourage our dancers to be just that! *Teacher Respect: Dancers must show respect to all teachers & assistants. Dancers who do not show respect to our teachers, will not be able to participate in class time. *Dancer Respect: Dancers are asked to be respectful to their fellow classmates & our older students are asked to remember that little eyes are on you - be great role models! *Respect our studio: We ask that all of our dancers please pick up after themselves. *NO food or Drink (OR GUM): Dancers may not have food or any drinks other than water on the dance floor. Dancers will be asked to spit gum out before classes.
**Please make sure your dancer wears their hair UP for classes. **For Ballet, buns are required!! **Please do not send your dancer into class with anything that may be distracting (jewelry, etc.) Shop online: Discount Dance Supply & Amazon, etc. *Mini & Petite Combo - leotard with shorts/skirt & tights & ballet shoes & black tap shoes *ACRO - Fitted tank or leo with fitted shorts/leggings. NO shoes & NO tights (or STIRRUP tights) *Ballet - Required to wear black leotard with ballet pink tights & pink canvas ballet shoes *Lyrical / Contemporary - Leotard and dance shorts/skirt with foot undies shoes *Musical Theater & Jazz - Tank/Leotard with dance shorts/skirt with TAN jazz shoes *Tap - Tank/Leotards with dance shorts/skirt/leggings with black tap shoes *Hip Hop - Tank or t-shirt with tights and shorts/leggings with black Hip Hop sneakers
Tuition will be paid monthly & is based on a 9-month payment schedule (Sept-May). All tuition payments are due the first full dance week of each month. All payments received after the first full dance week of the month will incur a $5.00 late fee per week. Please note, if your tuition is more than 3 full months past due, your dancer will not be able to continue participating in classes. Payments will be accepted in the form of credit, cash and/or check. Please make checks payable to: Allure Dance Studio. Please keep in mind there will be a returned check fee. All tuition payments are non-refundable. RECITAL: All dancers are required to participate in our annual recital. We will have two shows, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at Cazenovia High School Auditorium.
A credit card is required in order to enroll your dancer. You may still mail in cash or check. Once you have a credit card on file through your parent portal, you will be able to enroll your dancer in their classes. Please contact us if you have any questions about which classes, they are eligible to take for the 2024-2025 season. After you have enrolled them in the proper classes, please pay with your saved payment on your parent portal OR mail in cash/check ASAP. ***If we don't receive payment by the end of the registration week, we will move them to the "waitlist" and let another dancer have a chance to enroll.
