REGISTRATION
The Demi Dance Academy will begin online registration on May 5, 2025. Selection of classes will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. When selecting classes, use the dancer's age as of September 1st, 2025. Once classes reach maximum capacity, enrollment will close, and a waitlist will be established. The Demi Dance Academy reserves the right to cancel or alter a class due to low enrollment.
A $65 annual registration fee is due at the time of registration. In cases where multiple family members are registering, an additional $40 registration fee will apply. In addition, the first month's tuition will be collected during the registration process. REGISTRATION IS WAIVED FROM MAY 5TH-16TH.
TUITION and FINANCIAL POLICIES
A member's tuition is collected in equal installments from the point of registration to May. Tuition is due on the 5th of each month and remains the same regardless of absences, holidays, etc.
Payments made after the 15th will incur a fee of $25. The Demi Dance Academy maintains the right to charge any outstanding tuition and overdue fees to the credit card on record if payments are two weeks overdue.
You are required to provide a credit card to secure the account. For your convenience, your credit card on file can be auto drafted for monthly tuition.
No make-up classes will be offered if a member misses a session, nor will we provide refunds for missed classes.
Cash, Checks, ZELLE, Visa, Discover & MasterCard accepted. Please note that all payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable. A $35 fee will be applied to all returned checks and on declined credit or debit charges.
CLASS PLACEMENT
Class placements are determined by age, experience, and skill level. The Demi Dance Academy faculty reserve the right to make final decisions on class assignments and to move dancers to different levels based on their progress, effort, and attitude.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
Regular attendance is essential for steady progress and class unity. If a student must miss a class, parents are asked to notify the studio in advance by phone or email. Excessive absences (more than 3 per semester) may result in limited participation in choreography or performance opportunities at the instructor’s discretion.
DRESS CODE
All dancers are expected to arrive at class in appropriate attire specific to their class style. Required items may include leotards, tights, dance shoes, and other approved gear. Hair must be secured neatly away from the face. No dangling jewelry is permitted. Students not in appropriate attire may be asked to sit out for their own safety.
STUDIO CALENDAR / CLOSURES
A complete calendar with important dates (holidays, recital deadlines, breaks, etc.) will be available at the beginning of the season on the studio website. The Demi Dance Academy generally follows the Conroe ISD school calendar for holidays and closings, with some exceptions. Please refer to the calendar regularly.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
Classes are occasionally canceled because of extreme weather conditions. The studio will email about any closures due to inclement weather.
HOLIDAY SHOWCASE
Our holiday showcase takes place once a year in December. The showcase will be at The Demi Dance Academy studio with no additional cost/fees.
END OF THE YEAR RECITAL
Our recital takes place once a year at the end of our season. It is understood that all dancers will participate in the recital. *Note: not all classes will participate in recital* If for any reason your dancer(s) will not be able to participate, please inform the front desk manager by January.
There is a recital fee of $90 for one dancer or $150 for multiple dancers in one family. The recital fee covers the cost of the dancer’s recital t-shirt, one set of performance tights, two recital tickets for one dancer, or three tickets for multiple dancers in one family, awards, venue reservation, and any potential production costs. *Additional recital tickets can be requested at an additional cost. There is also a costume fee of $85 per costume per dancer.
The recital and costume fees are divided into 3 equal payments, with the first payment due on February 20th, the second payment due on March 20th, and the final payment due on April 20th.
Please note that members who have not fully paid their fees will not be eligible to participate or receive their costume(s). No refunds will be given if member(s) become sick, injured, or not able to participate in the recital for any reason.
COMMUNICATION
All information and communication will be done via email, posted on the studio website and our social media platforms. We will notify you of upcoming important events, closings etc. Families are encouraged to “like” our Facebook Page and “follow” us on Instagram to stay informed.
It is the responsibility of the parent(s)/guardian:
- to be aware of all studio activities, such as but not limited to; observation days, Holidays, performances, recitals, extra classes, practices, and dates the studio is open/closed.
- to check the studio website to ensure they are adequately informed.
- to inform The Demi Dance Academy of any address / email / phone # changes or updates.
- maintain a valid email address on file to receive emails from teachers, and official studio updates and information.
WITHDRAWAL
Parents of students wishing to drop a class(es), must submit a signed written notice to the front desk manager at least 10 days in advance. Failure to do so will result in tuition being charged. Withdrawal must be communicated to office staff (not dance instructor). Parents are responsible for tuition throughout the entire notice period. Partial month tuition will not be refunded.
BUILDING and CLASS ETIQUETTE
To maintain a clean and safe environment, all trash must be disposed of properly. Food or drinks, other than water bottles, is not allowed in the studio dance rooms.
If a student falls ill or sustains an injury, our office will promptly inform the parents. It is important to note that students who are unwell or display symptoms of any contagious illness are kindly asked not to attend class.
Children aged 5 and under may not be unattended at the studio if the student is not actively attending class.
The Demi Dance Academy is not responsible for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged. Contents left in the lost & found box will be donated at the end of every month.
The Demi Dance Academy kindly requests that members and their families please refrain from engaging in loud unruly noise, running, or horseplay within our facility. Additionally, we have the authority to remove and/or drop students from class(es) for various reasons, including but not limited to; bullying or other detrimental conduct exhibited by the student or parent(s). Such behavior can have a negative impact on the overall quality of dance education and is not tolerated.
The following is strictly prohibited from the studio grounds: smoking, illegal substances, weapons, and any other item deemed harmful to the safety and well-being of families. Cameras and videotaping in the restrooms/dressing areas are prohibited.
CODE OF CONDUCT
All students and families are expected to treat instructors, staff, and fellow dancers with kindness and respect. Gossip, bullying, or other disruptive behaviors are not tolerated. The Demi Dance Academy reserves the right to dismiss any student or family who undermines the positive, inclusive culture of the studio.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are available from the staff of the studio. Prices of privates are available upon request. Call or email The Demi Dance Academy to reserve your time!
LIABILITY WAIVER
By registering, parents/guardians understand that dance is a physical activity and assume all risk of injury. The Demi Dance Academy, its faculty, and staff will not be held responsible for injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, or events.
PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE
The Demi Dance Academy is hereby granted permission to post pictures and videos of the students on The Demi Dance Academy website, Facebook page and other social media platforms to use them for advertisement or display purposes.
