1.1. Dance is a physical activity and, whilst all reasonable care is taken, to the extent permitted by law, Nepean Dance is not liable for injuries sustained during classes, instruction, performance activities or otherwise.

1.2. In the case of an injury or health concern relating to your child, all reasonable efforts will be made to contact you promptly. In an emergency, or if you cannot be reached, Nepean Dance will seek appropriate medical attention for the student. This may include staff administering first aid or calling an ambulance.

1.3. You agree to indemnify Nepean Dance for any costs incurred in obtaining emergency medical attention, such as ambulance fees. Upon enrolment, you will be required to tick the relevant consent boxes to agree to each waiver before continuing. A pop-up box will then appear for you to type your name and provide a digital signature.

1.4. All teachers and supervising staff hold, at minimum, a Level 2 First Aid Certificate. Only qualified supervising members of staff will administer first aid.

1.5. Any medical conditions must be disclosed to Nepean Dance upon enrolment, along with a current Medical Action Plan where applicable.

1.1. To enrol your child, you must acknowledge this section by ticking the box and signing your name. However, if you do not wish to provide photo or video consent, on the home page of your Parent Portal, please go to:
Info → Waivers → Photo Opt Out → Select the box that says 'I do not want photos to be used publicly'.
This ensures our records are accurate and your child’s preferences are correctly flagged during classes, events, and performances.

1.2 From time to time, images from performances, classes and various Nepean Dance events may be used to promote the activities of Nepean Dance — for example in newsletters, on our website, social media platforms (e.g. Facebook/Instagram), noticeboards, brochures, and similar promotional materials. Parents and guardians are required to provide consent for the use of images of their children in this way and waive all rights in respect of such images. Nepean Dance will not sell these images to third parties and will always use them respectfully.

1.3. No photos or videos are to be taken on the studio premises, or at any Nepean Dance events held outside the studio, by any parent, guardian, or student without prior permission from management. Any videos taken must not be posted or shared online or through any social media platform, as this breaches copyright, our intellectual property, and our privacy policy.

1.1. I understand that there is an Annual Administration Fee of $30 due upon enrolment each year, and that there will be a Concert Fee for the annual performance.

1.2. All fees and charges are inclusive of GST. Classes are invoiced on a per-term basis, based on the amount of weeks that class will have that term.

1.3. Fees are due in full by the end of the second week of term, unless the student is enrolled in monthly Auto-Pay instalments.

1.4. Pro-rata fees are available for students who commence classes during a month/term. Pro-rata fees will only be applied if enrolment occurs after the second week of the respective month/term.

1.5. No refunds will be given under any circumstances for missed classes. Fees are not transferable between students or terms.

1.6. If a student is unable to attend a class due to illness, injury, or compulsory school commitments, a makeup class may be taken during the same term, subject to availability. Makeup classes do not roll over into the next term.

1.7. If a student will be absent for an extended period (3 weeks or more), they may request to pause their enrolment. Requests must be submitted in writing at least one month prior to the applicable period. Any discounts or prorated fees will be at the discretion of the Principal.

1.8. I understand that additional rehearsals may be called throughout the year, and additional fees may arise (e.g. ballet exams, exam booster classes, performances, and events).

1.9. Nepean Dance reserves the right to cancel a student’s enrolment due to the breaking of studio rules, disruptive or disrespectful behaviour by a student or parent, failure to pay tuition costs or other fees, or any other breach of policy.

1.10. I understand that the Principal, Melody Monda-Houston, will determine the most appropriate class level/grade for each student. Class placement is based on age, skills, ability, and the professional discretion of the Principal. All grading decisions are made in the best interest of the student and are final.

1.11. I understand that all information is communicated via email or available on the Nepean Dance website, and that all information provided is assumed read.

1.12. In the event of a lockdown or temporary studio closure, classes will immediately transition to Zoom. No refunds will be issued.

1.13. All students are required to wear the appropriate designated uniform/shoes stated on the uniform list (within 2 weeks of enrolling for new students).

1.14. If you wish to change or cancel your enrolment, you must do so in writing with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice, emailed to info@nepeandance.com.au

1.15. In the event of an accident or illness where it is not possible to communicate with me, I give permission for the teacher in charge to arrange whatever transport and/or medical attention is deemed necessary for my child. I agree to be responsible for all expenses incurred.
