As parent/guardian/18+ student, I agree to the following:
1. Health and Safety
I certify that the enrolled dancer is in good health, physically fit, and able to participate in activities at Rhapsody Studios and The Sydney Ballet Conservatory.
- All participation in dancing lessons, competitions, and events for and at Rhapsody Studios is at my own risk. It is my responsibility as the parent/guardian/student to inform Rhapsody Studios if my child or I are unfit to participate in any activity.
2. Medical Authorisation
In the event of injury, illness, or emergency, I authorise staff to administer first aid and contact emergency services.
- I authorise Rhapsody Studios to arrange for my child or myself to be transported to a medical or hospital facility for treatment if required.
- All associated medical costs are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
3. Payment Policy
All families must be signed up for DanceStudio-Pro Auto-Pay. Bank or card details must be entered upon enrolment; otherwise, class attendance will not be permitted.
Registration fees are non-refundable and added to the first month’s instalment.
Fees are paid via monthly instalment from the nominated card or bank account.
Bank accounts incur a 1% surcharge; credit cards incur a 2% surcharge.
Monthly instalment options:
10-month plan: February 2026 – November 2026
12-month plan: February 2026 – January 2027
A $10 dishonour fee applies to unsuccessful payments.
If payment remains outstanding for 2 weeks, the student will be unable to participate in class from week 3 until payment is received.
Cancellation Notice:
10-month clients: 1 month’s notice
12-month clients: 2 months’ notice
Once written notice is received, the student remains enrolled (and may attend) until the final instalment is successfully processed.
Fees and base costs (concert, registration, admin, etc.) are charged monthly and non-refundable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
Inclusions (such as bonuses, discounts, or additional classes) are non-refundable and non-transferable if unused.
Students with outstanding fees will not be permitted to perform in the end-of-year concert.
4. Class Schedule & Changes
Rhapsody Studios reserves the right to alter class times, teachers, or schedules as necessary. Notice will be provided where possible.
5. Behaviour & Conduct
Students and parents/guardians are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, peers, and studio property.
Rhapsody Studios reserves the right to suspend or cancel enrolment for behaviour deemed unsafe, disrespectful, or disruptive.
6. Communication
All newsletters, notices, and information packs are distributed via email. All information provided in these communications is deemed received and read.
7. Privacy Policy
All personal information collected is used solely for managing enrolments, class participation, and communication.
- Data is stored securely and not shared with third parties except as required by law, in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
8. Class Coverage & Force Majeure
Enrolment includes a guaranteed 36 weeks of classes. Any additional classes are complimentary.
The studio is not financially liable for cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, public health restrictions, competitions, or exams).
In such cases, Rhapsody Studios will make reasonable efforts to provide make-up classes, rescheduled sessions, or online alternatives where possible, but no refunds will apply.
9. Liability Waiver
I agree that Rhapsody Studios, The Sydney Ballet Conservatory, and all staff, volunteers, and associated personnel are not liable for personal injury or property loss/damage to myself or my child:
On the premises of Rhapsody Studios
During activities external to the studio but organised, approved, or endorsed by Rhapsody Studios
During studio hire or events involving third-party users of the space
Rhapsody Studios holds current Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- This waiver does not limit rights under Australian Consumer Law.
10. Acknowledgement and Signature
