MLN Registration & Tuition
Dancers ages 2-18 must register for class on Dance Studio Pro. The login information is on the Mar Le Nie Dance Studio Facebook Page.
Registration is open at all times and enrollment can be completed at any time. In order to qualify for certain discounts, registration may be required to be completed during a set time period.
Tuition is calculated per semester, but we offer a convenient monthly payment option. Tuition is non-refundable and must be paid in full on the 1st day of the month. Monthly tuition statements will be emailed as a courtesy. If an emailed invoice is not received (blocked by spam, etc.) tuition is still due. A $10 late fee will be added to your account if full tuition is not received before the 10th day of every month. If tuition and late fees are not paid by the 3rd week of the month, students will not be permitted to participate in class. Please see a staff member or board member in order to establish a payment plan in the event of financial hardship.
Tuition each month remains the same, regardless of holidays and the student’s attendance.
Payments are accepted via check made to “Mar Le Nie Dance Studio, Inc.†or via cash. a $25.00 fee will be added to your account for any and all returned checks.
Students looking to add a new class may try a class 1 time for free, and siblings or parents of an already enrolled student may try class 1 time for free. Additionally, friends may sponsor a friend to try a class 1 time for free. Trial classes should be scheduled ahead as much as possible
MLN Recital
Company Dancers of all levels will have the opportunity to perform in the year-end recital which usually occurs in June. Participation in the recital is contingent on the student’s account being current and having no outstanding fees.
A costume maintenance fee of approximately $100-$400 depending on company level, recital fees may also be assessed if the need arises.
MLN Winter Showcase
Recreational class students of all levels will have the chance to perform in a session-end showcase. More details to come including dates and participation fee amounts.
A costume fee of approximately $25-$50 per class will be due in full with the December tuition. Some classes may not require a costume fee.
MLN Withdrawal Procedure
If necessary to cancel a student's enrollment, an email or call indicating that the dancer will no longer be participating BEFORE the 1st of the month will be required. Otherwise, payment of full tuition and any other fees will be expected. This also applies to dropping classes in order to add others.
Any positive balances are retained by the studio if and when a student withdrawals. If a student anticipates returning to the studio in the near future, we will hold the balance for one semester. After that, the balance is absorbed into the studio's general operating account.
All studio communication is done via email and facebook. In order to ensure that you are kept up to date on the latest information, you must provide accurate email addresses that you check and read often.
MLN Studio Policies
Attendance: In order for all dancers to receive an exceptional dance education, it is imperative that attendance is taken seriously.
If your dancer has an advanced date that they will be absent from class, please let your instructors know, as soon as possible.
Classes cancelled due to inclement weather will be sent out via email, posted on facebook and posted in the parent GroupMe.
By registering on Dance Studio Pro, and digitally signing the dance waiver, all dance levels, technique or company, agree to pay monthly tuition regardless of attendance.

There will be no refunds, credits or discounts for missed classes.
If classes are canceled by the studio due to weather or instructor illness, students will be encouraged to attend another class of a similar level or genre as a makeup.
If, at any time, you have a question or concern with the dance fees, please contact the treasurer or Administrative director.
Drop Off and Pick Up:
For the safety of our dancers, we ask that a parent or guardian walk students into the studio, as well as be present at the end of class to pick them up.
Students are to remain inside the building while waiting to be picked up. We will not be responsible for students leaving the building.
Students should not wait longer than 15 minutes to be picked up once class has ended.
All dancers 4 and under MUST have someone at the studio with them at all times.
Studio Etiquette:
In order to maintain a professional atmosphere and continue the tradition of building leaders of character, it is imperative that all dancers and family be tolerant and respectful at all times.
The Board and staff of Mar-Le-Nie Dance Studio will not accept disrespectful behavior. If a student is disrespectful they will receive a warning. If the behavior continues, their parent(s) may be informed and asked to pick them up as well as participate in a meeting with the Directors.
Dancers are expected to respect each other in an atmosphere that promotes self-expression and comfort. Bullying in any way will not be tolerated.
We operate in a professional and respectful atmosphere and expect the same from both our dancers and their families.
Dancers are not allowed in the studio unless accompanied by a member of the Mar-Le-Nie Studio Board or staff.
Food and drinks are allowed in the downstairs waiting area only. Only water bottles will be permitted in the dance studio. Please pick up after yourself and your children.
Dance Attire: Dance is a discipline, which begins with attire and appearance.
All classes require specific dance attire.
Proper dress code is pertinent to observe the dancers proper body movement.
Class Placement:
Placement decisions are made at the discretion of the Artistic and Executive Directors. If the either director feels that a dancer will benefit from an alternate placement, a dancer may be moved to another level.
If you feel that you need to have a meeting of any kind, please contact the studio so a time can be arranged that does not interfere with class time. Conversations regarding your children deserve uninterrupted time.
At no time will a child’s abilities or placement be discussed with anyone other than that child’s parent.
Classroom Observation:
Only staff and dancers will be allowed in the studio during class.
Parents and family are asked to remain in the waiting area and are asked to keep noise to a minimum.
Fundraisers
Fundraisers will be held from time to time throughout the year. These funds are to help pay for tuition, dance costume and participation fees for the recitals, or the other events. Any fundraising questions can be directed to our Fundraiser Committee Chairperson.
Annual Recital and Company Costume Fees:
A signed letter of intent for the annual recital is due no later than March 15th and must be accompanied with a $50.00, non-refundable, recital fee.
Remaining costume fees are due prior to the annual recital.
Prior to the annual recital, there will be several times in which dancers will be required to attend costume try-on sessions. It is imperative that each dancer attend to ensure all costumes fit appropriately and there is time to acquire any missing items.
All dancers must have appropriate tights and shoes for our annual recital. Costume fees do not include tights or shoes.
Communications:
The white board in the waiting room area, our Facebook Page, our weekly email messages are our primary means of communicating with parents and dancers. It is your responsibility to check these locations for messages. Dancers who drive are to be responsible to check the board and pass the information on to parents. If you have an email address and would like to receive messages from the studio, please email marleniedance@gmail.com. Provide your name and your child’s name so we can send the appropriate messages for their classes.
I/we realize that participation in dance classes and activities could involve some possible personal injury. Despite precautions, accidents and injuries may occur. By signing this release form, I/we (the dancer and parent/guardian) assume all risks related to the use of all spaces used by Mar-Le-Nie Dance Studio Inc.
I further agree to be financially responsible for all medical services provided to me and/or my child named below, including the cost of defense and enforcement of this indemnity agreement.
I/we agree to release and hold harmless Mar-Le-Nie Dance Studio Inc. including its teachers, dancers, staff members, and facilities used by both entities from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and into the future.
I /we will not hold Mar-Le-Nie Dance Studio Inc. Liable for any personal injury or any personal property damage, which may occur on the premises before, during or after dance classes.
Furthermore, I/we agree to obey the class and facility rules and take full responsibility for my/our behavior in addition to any damage I/we may cause to the facilities utilized by Mar-Le-Nie Dance Studio Inc.
I authorize Mar Le Nie Dance Studio Inc to use photos taken of me or my child while at dance or dance functions for marketing and promotional materials, including website, social media, or print materials. I acknowledge that my child may be videotaped for educational and performance purposes only, including but not limited to recitals and showcases. Please note that Mar Le Nie Dance Studio, Inc agrees to not make public or resell any private information provided to it by students and their families.
I understand that Mar-Le-Nie Dance Studio Inc. is a licensed, accredited and insured organization. In the event that I/we should observe any unsafe conduct or conditions before, during or after dance classes, I/we agree to report the unsafe conduct or conditions to the Executive Director, Artistic Director, instructor or staff member as soon as possible.
I have read the foregoing Studio Waiver and agree with it in all respects.
I acknowledge that I have READ, UNDERSTAND, and AGREE TO ABIDE BY all “MLN Studio Policies†and all “MLN Registration and Tuition†policies.
