As the legal parent or guardian of a student/dancer participating at North Shore Dance Company, it must be acknowledged that each student/dancer is a member of a team/s and must always work together in a positive manner to allow their team members to reach their highest potential. All North Shore Dance Company students/dancers must conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful toward both their peers and teachers. If a student/dancer conducts themselves in an inappropriate manner, North Shore Dance Company reserves the right to remove any student/dancer from their scheduled class/es, including competitions, recitals and performances. The legal parent/guardian will immediately be notified for further discussion. Should the behaviour continue after the first incident, North Shore Dance Company has the right to permanently dismiss the student/dancer, and the legal parent/guardian agrees that no further claim or action would be made against North Shore Dance Company. Dancers are responsible for being tidy and cleaning up after themselves and must check that they are leaving the dance room and hallways as they found it. North Shore Dance Company is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Dancers are expected to come to dance with proper dance attire. All dancers are required to have a black bodysuit, dance tights (ballet - ballet pink, jazz & tap - beige footed or convertible, acrobatics - beige footless) and proper dance shoes (ballet- ballet pink ballet slippers, jazz - black jazz shoes, tap - black tap shoes). The black bodysuit will be used as a costume for our Winter Showcase. I understand that if my dancer does not already have these dance items that I will have to purchase them before the first day of dance. Ballet skirts, tight fitting ballet shrugs and leg warmers may be worn in ballet classes. All other forms of dance require attire that is appropriate for dancing, athletic pants, shorts and tops. Hair must always be pulled back and secured in a way that is not distracting or falling out. Bangs must be secured and out of the dancers face. Jewellery is not to be worn in dance classes. Dancers violating the dress code will be sent out of class. If you have any questions about dance attire, please contact Emma Hamilton.

Payments are due the Sunday before the first day of dance, January 12, 2024. The preferred payment method is etransfer to northshoredanceschreiber@gmail.com. We do also have the option for credit card payments, but is not our preferred method of payment. If payments are not made by the due date, there will be an additional administration charge of $10. If you are unable to make the payment date, please reach out to North Shore Dance Company. We do offer payment plans if needed! If the dancer wishes to withdraw from a class before the first day of dance, a full refund will be given. After the first day of dance for the registered class, no refunds will be given unless medical documentation is provided. Costume fees will be distributed when costumes have been ordered. Costume fees must be paid no later than 2 weeks after the email stating the costume fee has been sent. Costume fees can vary between $50-$150. Costume fees will include the costume, accessories. It is mandatory that dancers purchase the assigned new pair of tights to use at performances only.

I hereby authorize North Shore Dance Company to utilize photographs, videos, and recordings of myself/my child. These photographs, videos and/or recordings may either be captured by North Shore Dance Company and their associated Parties or provided by myself. These may be used for any promotional material, including but not limited to social media websites and outlets, brochures, promotional videos or dance clips, and posters. I hereby release and discharge North Shore Dance Company and their associated Parties of, and from any and all claims, demands, cause of action, liability, damages, and losses of any kind and nature that may arise directly or indirectly from the use of my name and/or the images. The images are to be used exclusively and may not be sold, licensed or otherwise transferred by North Shore Dance Company and their associated Parties.

North Shore Dance Company has the right to cancel any classes with less than 4 students enrolled. We will do our best to find an alternative class for your child that meets all your needs, or a refund will be provided. North Shore Dance Company reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather. In this scenario a message will be sent to the Facebook Group and notices will be posted on our social media pages. Miss Emma will do her best to reschedule classes cancelled due to inclement weather but there is no guarantee that it will be possible. The purpose of collecting your information is for the sole use of North Shore Dance Company's database and record keeping. It will not be shared or distributed to any other third parties. Our primary form of communication is via our private Facebook group, North Shore Dance Company Members. Please add Emma Hamilton on Facebook to be added to this group. If needed, will keep you informed via your primary email address above regarding updates, events, policy changes, updated schedules and so on. If you do not wish to receive these updates please advise us. North Shore Dance Company has a zero tolerance for Bullying. Any child who is not working as a team player and goes out of their way in person or on social media to outcast a fellow dancer will not be tolerated.
