Studio Contract
Our Vision
At CEDC, we teach more than just dance—we teach life skills. Our goal is to build strong technique, coordination, fitness, and professionalism in a safe, welcoming space where dancers can grow in confidence and character. We aim to be a well-known, successful studio that dancers are excited to attend each week.

Below are our policies and expectations. These are enforced to ensure a smooth and successful season. CEDC reserves the right to update policies at any time.

CEDC App
Our CEDC app and email are our primary communication tools. Please keep notifications on and ensure emails are not going to “spam”. We are not responsible for missed messages if notifications are turned off. Only post in the app if it’s relevant to all studio parents.
Attendance:
Dance builds week-to-week. Missing class affects both the student and the group.
No refunds or credits for missed classes (illness, vacations, school events, etc.).
Arrive 5–10 minutes early. Wait in the parent room until class begins.
Notify us if your dancer will be absent and why.
Do not attend if your child had a fever within 24 hours.
Consistent attendance is essential.
CEDC reserves the right to dismiss dancers or families for failure to meet expectations.
Studio Etiquette & Attire:
Arrive early to prepare (change, hair, restroom).
Do not interrupt classes in progress.
Hair must be pulled back.
Dance shoes are required—no street shoes allowed in class.
Jazz shoes are required for all dancers.
Practice attire is required—no jeans, jean shorts, skirts, or dresses unless made for athletic activity.
Dancers should stretch and practice outside of class.
No horseplay, harassment, or disrespectful behavior.
Students must stay focused and participate.
Continued behavioral issues will result in a parent meeting.
No refunds for removal due to behavior.
Clean up after yourself—respect the studio space.
Weather Policy:
If Center Point-Urbana schools close or cancel evening events due to weather, classes will be canceled.
Check Facebook and the app for updates.
In severe weather (e.g., tornado warnings), students will remain at the studio until safe.
Use good judgment when deciding whether to attend during potential weather threats.
Monthly Fees:
$50 one-time registration fee- $25 of this will be applied to costume fee
1 Class/Month – $55 ($35 for Level 1)
2 Classes/Month – $85
3 Classes/Month – $120
4 Classes/Month – $165
Payment due on the 1st of each month. $10 late fee after the 10th of the month. If unpaid after 30 days, additional fees may apply.
Pay by cash, check, or card.
Fees remain the same regardless of attendance, holidays, studio breaks, or weather closures.
$25 fee for returned checks. After 3, cash is required.
Rejoining after quitting requires a new registration fee and form.
No refunds under any circumstance.
Costumes:
One costume per class is required for the annual CEDC show.
Costume price: $100 + tax
Costume fees are non-refundable. Exchanges allowed for size only as available by distributors.
Fees include shipping/handling and are due by January 1st.
$5 late fee applies after January 1st.
Payments may be made in full or installments.
If a costume doesn’t fit, notify us and return it to the studio immediately if instructed to do so. Alterations must be arranged independently as necessary.
