Our Vision
At Concrete Elite Dance Company (CEDC), we teach more than dance — we teach life skills. Our goal is to build strong technique, coordination, fitness, confidence, and professionalism in a safe and welcoming environment where dancers can grow both on and off the dance floor. We strive to create a positive studio culture and a successful program that dancers are excited to be a part of each week.

The following policies and expectations are in place to help ensure a positive and successful season for all dancers and families. CEDC reserves the right to update studio policies at any time.

Please follow our Facebook page for weather-related closures, schedule updates, and studio announcements.
CEDC App & Email
The CEDC app and email are our primary forms of communication. Families are responsible for:
* Keeping notifications enabled
* Ensuring emails are not directed to spam/junk folders
* Regularly checking for updates and announcements
CEDC is not responsible for missed information due to disabled notifications or unread messages.
Please only post within the app if the information is relevant to all studio families.

Attendance Policy
Dance education builds progressively from week to week. Consistent attendance is important for both individual growth and group progress.
* No refunds or credits will be given for missed classes due to illness, vacations, school events, or other absences.
* Dancers should arrive 5–10 minutes early and remain in the parent waiting area until class begins.
* Please notify the studio if your dancer will be absent and provide a reason for the absence.
* Dancers should not attend class if they have had a fever within the previous 24 hours.
* Consistent attendance and participation are expected.
CEDC reserves the right to dismiss dancers or families who repeatedly fail to meet studio expectations or policies.

Studio Etiquette & Dress Code
To help maintain a positive and professional learning environment:
* Arrive early to allow time for changing shoes, using the restroom, and preparing for class.
* Do not interrupt classes already in progress.
* Hair must be pulled back securely for all classes.
* Proper dance shoes are required. Street shoes are not permitted on the dance floor.
* Jazz shoes are required for all dancers.
* Appropriate dance or athletic attire must be worn.
* No jeans, jean shorts, skirts, or dresses unless specifically designed for athletic activity.
* Dancers are encouraged to stretch and practice outside of class.
* Respectful behavior is expected at all times.
* Horseplay, harassment, bullying, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
* Students are expected to stay focused, participate, and follow instructor directions.
* Continued behavioral concerns may result in a parent meeting or dismissal from the program.
No refunds will be issued for dismissal due to behavioral concerns.
Please help us keep the studio clean by cleaning up personal belongings and trash after class.

Weather Policy
* If Center Point-Urbana schools close or cancel evening activities due to weather, CEDC classes will also be canceled.
* Weather-related updates will be posted on Facebook and through the CEDC app.
* In cases of severe weather during class (including tornado warnings), dancers will remain at the studio until it is safe for dismissal.
* Families should always use personal judgment regarding travel safety during inclement weather.

Tuition & Monthly Fees
Registration Fee
A one-time annual registration fee of $50 is required per dancer.
* $25 of the registration fee will be applied toward costume fees.
Monthly Tuition Rates
* 1 Class/Month – $55
* Level 1 Classes – $35
* 2 Classes/Month – $85
* 3 Classes/Month – $120
* 4 Classes/Month – $165
Payment Policies
* Tuition is due on the 1st of each month.
* A $10 late fee will be added after the 10th of the month.
* Accounts unpaid after 30 days may incur additional fees and/or suspension from classes until brought current.
* Payments may be made by cash, check, ACH, or card.
* A $3.50 convenience fee will be applied to card transactions.
* Tuition remains the same regardless of attendance, holidays, studio breaks, or weather closures.
* Returned checks are subject to a $25 returned check fee.
* After three returned checks, cash payments will be required.
* Dancers who withdraw and later rejoin must complete a new registration form and pay a new registration fee.
No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

Costume Policy
* Each class will require one costume for the annual CEDC recital/show.
* Costume cost is $100 + tax per costume.
Hip Hop costumes will be charge an additional fee for shoes.
* Costume fees are non-refundable.
* Exchanges are permitted for sizing only and are subject to distributor availability.
* Costume fees include shipping and handling costs.
* Costume balances are due by January 1st.
* A $5 late fee will apply to costume payments made after January 1st.
* Payments may be made in full or through approved installment arrangements.
If a costume does not fit:
* Notify the studio immediately.
* Return the costume promptly if instructed by staff.
* Any necessary alterations are the responsibility of the parent/guardian unless otherwise communicated.
Photo & Video Release
CEDC may photograph or record classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, and studio events for promotional, educational, website, social media, and marketing purposes. By registering at CEDC, parents/guardians grant permission for the use of dancer photographs and video recordings unless written notice is provided to the studio requesting otherwise.

Injury & Medical Liability
Dance is a physical activity and participation carries an inherent risk of injury. By enrolling at CEDC, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept these risks.
Parents/guardians are responsible for informing the studio of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, restrictions, or limitations that may affect participation.
CEDC, its staff, instructors, and affiliates are not responsible for injuries, accidents, illnesses, lost items, or other incidents that may occur during classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, or while on studio property.
In the event of an emergency, CEDC staff may seek appropriate medical attention for a student if a parent/guardian cannot be reached immediately.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Policy
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring dancers are dropped off and picked up on time. CEDC staff are not responsible for supervision before or after scheduled class times.
Students should remain inside the studio until their ride arrives unless otherwise authorized by a parent/guardian.

Parent & Student Conduct
CEDC is committed to maintaining a respectful, supportive, and positive environment for all dancers, families, and staff.
Disrespectful, inappropriate, threatening, harassing, or disruptive behavior toward staff, students, or other families — including in person, through electronic communication, social media, or studio platforms — will not be tolerated.
CEDC reserves the right to dismiss any student or family whose behavior negatively impacts the studio environment. No refunds will be issued in the event of dismissal.

Competition Team Policy
Competition team dancers and families may be subject to additional policies, financial obligations, rehearsal schedules, attendance expectations, and commitments outlined in separate competition team agreements.

Recital & Performance Expectations
Recital tickets may be sold separately.
Dancers participating in performances are expected to attend scheduled rehearsals to ensure the safety and success of all performers.

AutoPay Authorization
Families enrolled in AutoPay authorize CEDC to charge the payment method on file for all outstanding balances, including but not limited to:
* Monthly tuition
* Late fees
* Costume fees
* Competition fees
* Apparel and merchandise
* Private lessons
* Additional studio-related charges
A $3.50 convenience fee will apply to card transactions.
Families are responsible for maintaining accurate and updated payment information on file.

Studio Closures & Unexpected Circumstances
CEDC reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, modify, or move classes online due to circumstances beyond the studio’s control, including but not limited to severe weather, facility issues, public health concerns, emergencies, or other unforeseen events.
No refunds or credits will be issued for closures or interruptions beyond the studio’s control.

By registering with CEDC, dancers and parents/guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by all studio policies and expectations outlined above.
