Dance Machine Policies
1. Monthly Fees & Costume Hire
* Parents must enrol in our Auto Pay system at registration. If a payment fails, Dance Machine will contact you to update your payment details.
* Students cannot attend classes until payment details are correct.
* If you wish to cancel your enrolment, adjustments will take effect in the next monthly billing cycle.
* October and November fees will be combined and charged in October to finalise payments before the End of Year Performance.
* Costume Hire fees, charged in March, and the annual registration fee are non-refundable.
2. Behaviour
All parents/guardians and students must show courtesy and respect to fellow students, parents, teachers, and office staff. Dance Machine is dedicated to fostering a friendly and supportive environment. Bullying, disrespect, or abusive and threatening behaviour will not be tolerated. In such cases, students may be asked to cease attendance permanently.
3. Student Drop-offs and Pick-ups
Parents/guardians must park their car and accompany children under 18 to the waiting area before class begins. Similarly, they must park and collect students from the waiting area after class. This policy ensures safety, as the car park is a shared vehicle/pedestrian zone. The foyer area is not always supervised, and Dance Machine staff are not responsible for unsupervised children. Prompt pick-up after class is mandatory.
4. Commitment
Students are expected to attend all enrolled classes consistently, demonstrating commitment to their classmates. For planned holidays, parents/students must notify Dance Machine staff at least one month in advance to allow for adjustments to routine positions.
5. Class Viewing
Parents may only view classes if invited by the teacher. This ensures staff and students remain focused. Preschool classes can be viewed through designated windows in the foyer.
6. No Nuts Policy
Dance Machine premises are strictly nut-free to protect students with allergies. Parents and students must avoid bringing nuts or products containing nuts.
7. Attire & Grooming
Students must wear appropriate clothing as outlined in Term newsletters and keep hair neatly tied in a bun or ponytail for all classes.
8. Mobile Phones
Mobile phones are not permitted during class time.
9. Use of Video/Photography
Dance Machine events may be photographed or recorded, and students may occasionally be photographed/recorded during class. By enrolling, parents/guardians consent to these images being used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the Dance Machine website, advertisements, and social media.
10. Drop-off/Pick-up Only
For students in the Prep age group and above, parents are asked to drop off and pick up their children to minimise noise and distractions in the hallway. Newly enrolled students may have an adult observe for the first one or two weeks until they are comfortable.
11. Liability Waiver
Participation in Dance Machine activities and use of its facilities carries a risk of accidental injury despite all safety precautions. By participating, you agree to assume all risks and hold harmless Dance Machine, its officers, directors, independent contractors, and employees for any illness or injury occurring during participation in any activity or while using Dance Machine facilities.
