Dance Machine – Terms & Conditions
1. Monthly Fees & Costume Hire
Families must enrol in our Auto Pay system at registration. If a payment fails, Dance Machine will contact you to update your payment details.
Students cannot attend classes until payment details are current.
If you wish to cancel your enrolment, changes will take effect in the next monthly billing cycle.
October and November fees will be combined and charged in October to finalise all payments before the End of Year Performance.
Costume Hire fees (charged in March) and the annual registration fee are non-refundable.
2. Behaviour
All parents/guardians and students must show respect and courtesy to fellow students, families, teachers, and office staff. Dance Machine is committed to maintaining a friendly and supportive environment. Bullying, disrespect, or abusive or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated. Students may be asked to cease attendance permanently in such cases.
3. Student Drop-Offs & Pick-Ups
Parents/guardians must park and walk children under 18 to the waiting area before class begins, and must also park and collect them directly from the waiting area after class. This policy ensures safety, as the car park is a shared vehicle/pedestrian zone.
The foyer is not always supervised; therefore, students must not be left unattended. Prompt pick-up at the end of class is required.
4. Commitment
Students are expected to attend all enrolled classes consistently and demonstrate commitment to their peers. For planned holidays, families must notify Dance Machine at least one month in advance so routine positions can be adjusted if needed.
5. Class Viewing
Parents may only view classes when invited by the teacher.
At the start of the year and for trial students, parents may watch for the first one to two weeks until the child is settled and comfortable in the class environment.
Preschool classes may be viewed from the designated foyer windows.
6. No Nuts Policy
Dance Machine is a nut-free environment. No nuts or nut-containing products are to be brought onto the premises.
7. Attire & Grooming
Students must wear appropriate uniform and dancewear as outlined in our Uniform Requirements document.
Hair must be neatly tied in a bun or ponytail for all recreational classes.
8. Mobile Phones
Mobile phones are not permitted during class time.
9. Use of Video & Photography
Dance Machine events may be photographed or filmed, and students may occasionally be photographed or recorded during class. By enrolling, parents/guardians consent to these images being used for promotional purposes including, but not limited to, the Dance Machine website, advertising, and social media.
10. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Only (Prep and Above)
For Prep-age students and above, parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up their child to help minimise noise and distractions in the hallway.
11. Liability Waiver
Participation in Dance Machine activities carries a risk of accidental injury despite all safety precautions. By enrolling, you agree to assume all risks and release Dance Machine, its officers, contractors, and employees from any liability for illness or injury occurring during participation or while using Dance Machine facilities.
Elite Classes (In Addition to the Above)
1. Invitation Only
Elite classes are strictly by invitation.
2. Routine Positioning

3. Attendance & Commitment

Injured or unwell students (unless contagious) are expected to observe classes. Prior notification via email or phone is required before class begins.

4. Mandatory Competitions & Events

5. External Programs
While external opportunities are supported, families must discuss any external program and its performance dates with Dance Machine before auditioning or accepting a role.
