Your must be over 18 to register for an account with South Sound Dance.

I understand that my student must consistently meet these criteria in order to participate in group dance instruction:
1) Students must be able to follow basic, age appropriate instructions.
2) Students must be able to understand basic safety expectations such as remaining inside the danceroom, not climbing on studio equipment, etc.
3) Students must not cause excess disruption/distraction for other dancers such as yelling, touching, etc.

I understand that students at South Sound Dance are expected to follow appropriate dress code, with studio branded leotard or clothing, based on class level. This includes long hair pulled back (into a bun for Ballet classes) and proper dance shoes. Students will enter class through the doors at the back of each studio room and exit through the front doors after class. Parents are invited to watch their dancer's classes via Zoom since we do not allow class observation from the lobby.

We are committed to creating a supportive and respectful environment for all dancers. Positive language and encouragement are expected at all times. The use of foul or offensive language, disrespectful behavior toward dancers or children, or negative remarks about any dancer, teacher, director, staff member, or SSD community member will not be tolerated.

By checking this box, I acknowledge and accept that participation in dance classes, fine arts preschool, and other programs at South Sound Dance LLC, Be Pro Dance LLC, and Artistry in Motion Dance Co. LLC (“the Studio/Company”) may involve inherent risks, including possible injury, illness, or property damage. I voluntarily assume these risks on behalf of myself and/or my child and agree to release and hold harmless the Studio/Company, its owners, teachers, staff, and representatives from any related claims, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

I further grant permission for my child to be photographed or recorded during classes, rehearsals, performances, and events. I authorize the Studio/Company to use such media for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes, including social media, websites, advertising, and print materials, without compensation. I release the Studio/Company from any claims related to such use.

I understand as the parent/guardian/paying member, that monthly membership for classes held at South Sound Dance will be due by the 1st of every month and will be processed with a stored debit/credit card or ACH payment method on file. If I would like to pay on a different date or in another form, it may be paid in advance of the 1st using a check or another debit/credit card. If payment fails, a late fee of $25.00 will be posted after the 10th.

I understand as the parent/guardian/paying member, that monthly membership is on-going and my account will be continued to be billed every month until I have canceled my or my child's membership. To cancel membership or withdraw from a class, I understand I must give written notice by the 15th of the month prior. If I withdraw after the 15th, I will still be billed for the following month of services.

I understand that South Sound Dance does not give credit and/or refunds for class(es) missed due to holiday, vacation, illness, weather, government shutdowns, etc. I also acknowledge that In the event of a government shutdown, classes will be held online through Zoom technology and all studio billing, tuition, and withdrawal policies will remain in effect.

I understand as the parent/guardian/paying member, that all youth dancers enrolled in an on-going weekly class are automatically enrolled in both the annual Holiday Production and end of spring Recital Production as a part of their dance education and experience. Production fees - which include a costume, show experience, and show gift - will be processed for all students on October 1 and March 1 of each year the member remains enrolled. Please see THE EXPERIENCE - PERFORMANCE HANDBOOK for specific performance dates and fees. Any dancer who will be out of town or unable to participate must give written notice to South Sound Dance by the 15th of the month prior (September 15, and February 15) or their accounts will be billed. Professional photo and video are taken at all South Sound Dance productions for marketing, sale and personal relations projects. By participating in the annual Holiday Production and/or Spring Recital Production you are agreeing to this.

I understand as the parent/guardian/paying member, all monies paid to South Sound Dance for services rendered are non-refundable. Any refunds for unworn dance wear or event or program cancellations can only be issued within 30 days of original payment. Dancers may schedule make-up classes for any missed classes.
