Our Princess Ballerina class is a fun introductory class allowing students to express themselves with song and
dance routines while learning basic dance moves in a wide variety of dance styles. We introduce basic
coordination exercises, stretching and flexibility training, introductory ballet, memory skills, music appreciation
and introductory discipline skills, such as team work and group coordination. We believe when dancers are
taught a love for dance, they grow and develop in amazing ways! Our Princess Ballerinas' love coming to
dance class and will perform in our Spring Recital.
Minis/Petites/Smalls: are combination classes. Students learn some ballet, jazz, & hip hop technique, team
work, responsibility and performing skills. Our classes emphasize musicality, stylization, body alignment,
rhythm and proper dance terminology. Students are taught how to understand choreography quickly and to
combine skills and steps to fun upbeat music. Students will perform in our Spring Recital.
Ballet: not only teaches our students disciplined dance technique, it is also perfect for any dancer who would
like to improve turnout, muscle control, turns, leaps, and flexibility. This class is guaranteed to help all dancers
establish a solid dance foundation. Adding this class to your current schedule will take your dancing to the next
level!! Students will not perform in the Spring Recital
Cheer: (Tennis shoes are required) Cheer classes at DanceLife Studio are a blast and focus on jumps, kicks,
and angles. Athletes will learn basic stunting along with flexibility training, voice projection, and our favorite...
rallying. Athletes will perform in our Spring Recital.
Tumbling: Our Tumbling class teaches basic coordination exercise, stretching and flexibility training, agility,
ambidexterity and introductory discipline skills. Students work to improve strength, balance and coordination.
As skill levels advance, students will learn back and front walkovers, back and front handsprings, aerials, back
tucks, and layouts. Tumblers are able to progress at their own pace in a fun but structured environment.
Students will not perform in the Spring Recital.
Pre-Pointe: (Ballet shoes are required and can be sized and ordered thru the front office)
This class is for students 8 and older who have already taken ballet and would like to start Pointe. Dress code
is strictly enforced. In this class, students will increase technique and build the extra muscles needed for
Pointe. The Pre-Pointe class will lead into an invitation to advance to Pointe. If your student would like to
participate in Pointe classes in the future, this class is a prerequisite.
Pointe: (Pointe shoes are required and will need to be sized and purchased from Pats Dance Wear)
This class is by invitation only and is for intermediate/advanced students. Students who are invited to
participate in Pointe classes will also need to be enrolled in a basic ballet class once a week. This class will
focus on both barre and floor technique associated with Pointe. Students will perform in our Spring Recital.
Policies & Procedures
Attendance Policy: Once you register your child, you will be charged for class time if they're present or not.
We like to keep our classes small so that the students get more learning time. Every year we have several
students on a "waitlist" and persistent absences may result in losing your placement in the class. No refunds
on costume and/or recital fees paid. There will be no refunds given for missed classes. Dancers are expected
to arrive on time for all classes, rehearsals, and performances to ensure proper warm-up and full participation.
Consistent tardiness can disrupt the flow of instruction and affect the entire group’s progress. Similarly, dancers
must be picked up promptly at the end of their scheduled activities. Late pickups can interfere with the next
class and delay staff from closing the studio on time and being able to fulfill their other commitments. Repeated
issues may result in additional fees or further action.
Studio Calendar (Events & Closures): I understand that it is my responsibility to stay informed of all studio
updates, schedule changes, events, and notices by reviewing studio emails, the monthly newsletter, Studio Pro
Portal announcements, and the Calendar of Events on the DanceLife Studio website. The studio calendar is
updated regularly with important information regarding classes, holidays, performances, and events.
I acknowledge that monthly tuition remains the same regardless of holiday closures and will not be prorated.
DanceLife Studio will be closed in observance of the following: Independence Day Week, Pioneer Day, Labor
Day, UEA Break, Halloween, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day,
Spring Break, Memorial Day Week, and a Summer Break

Team Communication: Our primary means of communication are through the Studio Pro Parent Portal app via
chats and newsletters as well as through emails. This will allow us to communicate as a studio or as an
individual class. This is also how you will be able to see your student’s schedule and pay any fees. If you have a
change of address, phone number, or any other contact information, it is your responsibility to update your
details through the Studio Pro Parent Portal and/or notify the office so your records can be kept current.
Please ensure your account information is always up to date. Maintaining accurate contact information allows
us to communicate important updates, including schedule changes, emergencies, and other studio
notifications.
Social Media Policy: Social media is a fun way to stay in touch with friends & family. Please be advised it is our
policy that all social media posts in relation to DanceLife Studio be held to the highest standards. Please ensure
you are representing yourself & your dancer in a positive manner when posting in regards to, about, or when
wearing Dance Life Studio attire. In addition, any slanderous comments/posts on any form of social media will
result in immediate dismissal from the program.
Drop Off/Pick Up: At DanceLife Studio, the safety, structure, and smooth flow of our classes are very important
to us. To help us maintain a positive and organized environment for all students, we kindly ask families to
follow the guidelines below.
Arrival & Class Readiness: Students should arrive on time and fully prepared for class, dressed according to the
studio dress code with all required shoes and accessories. Please ensure all personal items are clearly labeled
with the student’s name. Students who arrive late or are not properly prepared may be asked to observe class
rather than participate, as late entry can disrupt both instruction and student safety.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Expectations: Parents and guardians are asked to drop off and pick up their dancers
promptly at the beginning and end of class. Timely drop-off and pick-up helps ensure a safe and smooth
transition between classes, prevents disruptions to other sessions, and allows instructors and staff to remain
on schedule for additional classes and responsibilities.
For safety reasons, students will only be dismissed by their instructor. If a student needs to leave class early for
any reason, prior arrangements must be made and a parent or guardian must come inside the studio to sign
the student out.
Students are never released to leave the studio on their own.
Late Pick-Up Policy We understand that unexpected delays can happen; however, consistent timely pick-up is
required.
● Parents/guardians who are 15 minutes late or more picking up their student will be charged a
non-refundable $5.00 late fee.
● This fee increases by $5.00 for every additional five (5) minutes the student remains at the studio.
● A “Late Pick-Up Notice” will be provided at the time of pick-up outlining any fees incurred.
● Late fees must be paid in full with the following month’s tuition in order to maintain enrollment.
Please note: Late pick-up fees are not retained by DanceLife Studio. These fees are passed directly to the staff
member who remained with the student.
Repeated late pick-ups may result in additional action, including possible review of continued enrollment.
Visitors: Classes are closed to parents, siblings, & friends. No parents or visitors can sit in any class unless
invited by the teacher and/or director. We are unable to supervise children who are not in class. Family
members may wait in the lobby by the front desk. Those who are not students, are not permitted in the
student lounge area. This is to keep our students safe.
Studio Space: DanceLife Studio is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all
students, families, and staff. Our office team is available Monday–Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM to
assist with questions and support. Families are encouraged to be courteous and help keep the studio tidy by
cleaning up any personal items brought into the space. To help maintain a focused and clean learning
environment, only water is permitted in dance rooms, and food and other beverages are not allowed.
We also ask that families assist younger students in the restroom and remind older students of appropriate
bathroom etiquette, as our bathrooms are not a play area.
Personal belongings are the responsibility of each individual, and DanceLife Studio is not responsible for lost or
misplaced items; however, a lost and found bin is located in the waiting area and will be cleared and donated
to charity at the end of each quarter, so students are encouraged to check it regularly.
Studio space rentals are available, including $15.00 per hour for solos, duets, trios, and similar practice use, as
well as private rentals for parties and special events (pricing available by contacting the office). We appreciate
your cooperation in helping us keep DanceLife Studio organized, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone.
Behavior Norms, Expectations & Policies
Studio Norms:
D – Do Your Best: Keep trying and never give up.
A – Always Be Kind: Treat others with respect and care.
N – Notice Everyone: Include and welcome all dancers.
C – Cheer Each Other On: Support and uplift your teammates.
E – Encourage Safety: Take care of yourself and those around you.
Behavior Policy: At DanceLife Studio, we strive to create more than just strong dancers—we are deeply
committed to developing kind, respectful, empathetic, and responsible young people both inside and outside
the studio.
All students are expected to act as part of a team at all times. This includes maintaining a positive attitude,
showing respect toward classmates, instructors, and staff, and contributing to a safe and encouraging learning
environment.
Disrespectful behavior toward other students, teachers, or staff will not be tolerated. If a student becomes
disruptive or behaves in a way that interrupts class, they may be asked to sit out or, if necessary, be removed
from class. Our priority is always to maintain a safe, positive, and productive environment for everyone.
We will always make efforts to work with families and find solutions before any removal from class occurs. We
also ask that parents communicate any important behavioral or emotional concerns that may impact their
child’s success in class.
If parents have any concerns regarding class, another student, or an instructor, we kindly ask that they
schedule an appointment with the studio so the situation can be properly observed and addressed. Parents
should not approach teachers during or between classes, as this time is dedicated to instruction and student
safety. Our goal is for every student to have a positive, supportive, and successful experience at DanceLife
Studio, and open communication through the appropriate channels helps us achieve that.
Conflict Resolution Policy: At DanceLife Studio, we use restorative practices as our guiding approach to
resolving conflict and building a strong, connected studio community.
Restorative practices focus on repairing harm, strengthening relationships, and supporting personal growth
rather than simply punishing behavior. This approach emphasizes accountability, empathy, communication,
and collaboration to help restore trust when issues arise.
We believe this process helps create a stronger studio culture by fostering belonging, improving
communication, reducing conflict, and building healthier relationships between students, teachers, and
families.
Through restorative practices, students learn how their actions affect others and are given the opportunity to
reflect, take responsibility, and make meaningful repairs. This helps build a supportive environment where
students feel connected, valued, and understood.
