Registration Information, Policies and Fees Overview
Tuition is based on the entire season of dance.
Our season runs August 11, 2025 through May 21, 2026.
Tuition is not based on the number of classes in a month or on attendance. Monthly tuition amounts are based on the number of hours taken per week.
There is NO refund for missed classes; i.e., no prorated classes.
Payment Options:
Monthly Auto-Pay on the 1st of the Month (9 months from September through May), except August, which is due upon registration for the season.
Entire Year in Full (10 months paid by September 1, 2025) for a prepayment discount of 10%. Must be paid by check or cash.
No family or sibling discounts.

Registration Fee
A $50 registration fee is charged per dancer. The season begins August 11, 2025 and ends May 21, 2026.
Tuition
SSOD does not prorate tuition. Tuition is divided into 10 equal payments and is not adjusted for attendance or selective absences.

Payments
Registration and first month’s tuition are due upon registration.
Remaining payments are due on the 1st of each month (Sept–May).
Late Fee: $15 after the 5th of the month.
Auto-Pay is REQUIRED for all tuition and balances.
Recital Fee (auto-paid): October 1, 2025
Costume Fees (auto-paid): November 1, 2025
If auto-pay is not set up, your account will be invalid and your dancer will not be enrolled.
Private Lessons & Choreography Packages
Available upon request.
Choreography includes:
One 2-minute choreographed dance
Two 1-hour lessons
One 30-minute cleaning lesson
Four 15-minute cleaning/prep lessons
Pricing:
Studio Student Solo: $325
Duet/Trio: $375
Non-Studio Students: Inquire
Studio Closings
SSOD follows Olathe School District (USD 233) for major breaks.
Notifications of closings will be made via email, social media, the website, and your DSP parent portal.
1st weather-related closure: no makeup
Subsequent closures: make-up scheduled

If you’re not receiving emails, notify SSOD immediately.

Dancewear is available through the SSOD store or your DSP portal.
Recital Performance
Recital Date: May 30, 2026
Mandatory Dress Rehearsal: May 28, 2026
No rehearsal = No show
Notify us by October 1, 2025 if your dancer is not performing.
After that date, recital fees are still owed even if the dancer withdraws.
Creative Movement and Tiny Tutus only perform in one show.

Tickets
Tickets go on sale May 1, 2026.
All seating is reserved. Dancers must remain backstage for the entire show.

Attendance
Excessive absences may result in removal from the recital.
No refunds or credits for missed classes.
Make-ups available with prior instructor approval.

Students may be dismissed due to:
Non-payment
Disrespectful or disruptive behavior
To Withdraw:
Must email 30 days prior
Account will be charged for one final month
Recital fees are non-refundable
Class Changes
Allowed within first 6 weeks of the season.
Includes drops, adds, or level changes.
Commitment & Legal Fees
Delinquent balances may be sent to collections.
You agree to all terms upon registration.
Hold Harmless Clause
You assume all risks related to dance participation.
You release SSOD and its staff from liability for injury, loss, or damage.
By signing for your dancer, you affirm legal guardianship and understanding of this clause.
