Conditions of Enrollment (2025)
1. Registration : At the time of enrollment, first month’s tuition and recital costume fee will be charged to hold your class spot(s). Monthly
tuition is charged the 1st of each month.
2. Payment of Fees : JB Dance offers 2 payment options for tuition. Tuition may be paid, in full, at the time of registration. We also offer an Automatic Monthly Payment option. This is not a month‐to‐month option, but instead allows our dance families to make 8 equal monthly payments for annual tuition fees, starting September 1 and the last payment is due on April 1. There is a fee added to all credit card and ACH payments through the portal. If you wish to pay by check or venmo, payment is due BEFORE the scheduled payment dates. JB Dance does not accept post‐dated checks for monthly payments; however, you may pay the monthly fee by check prior to the first of the month to avoid having your debit/credit card charged.
3. Declined Payment/Late Fees : A $25 fee will be assessed for any returned checks. A late fee of $25 will be assessed if a payment is more than 5 days past due or a credit/debit card consistently declines. This fee will be waived for any credit/debit card transactions that require updated information, i.e. expiration dates.
4. Withdrawals & Refunds : Written notification (email is acceptable) is required for all class withdrawals. A $75 withdrawal fee will be charged at the time of withdrawal processing, but no further payments will be due. Any tuition paid for the month of withdrawal will not be refunded. For annual payers, any unused tuition for future months will be refunded, minus the $75 withdrawal fee.
There are no refunds after March 1. Families will be responsible for March and April payments regardless of withdrawing from class(es). Costume fees are nonrefundable at anytime.
JB Dance Studio does not offer pro-rated tuition reimbursement for any absences. In the event of an extreme injury or long term illness in which the dancer cannot complete the year, credit may be extended to other classes with a doctor’s note.
Refunds are only issued when JB Dance Studio cancels classes due to low enrollment.
5. Costume Fees : Costume fees for classes are due, in full, at the time of registration. Costume fees include tights for the end of year performance, if applicable. Costume fees are non-refundable.
6. Performance Tickets : Performance tickets will be available for purchase approximately one month from the date of the performance.
Performance information will be available via the Performance Handbookd distributed approximately one month prior. Reference your class calendar for performance dates
7. Dress Code : Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Failure to wear required dancewear to class can result in students being asked to sit out the class. Repeated failure to wear required dancewear can result in expulsion from class.
8. Attendance & Lateness: We reserve the right to have students who come late to class, sit out the class. Repeated lateness may result in removal from class. A minimum attendance standard will be required. If a student misses more than 4 classes without written notices, the school reserves the right to expel that student from class(es). Students missing more than 4 classes after February may not be allowed to
participate in the year end performance. Please email 24 hours in advance to notify us of missed classes whenever possible and submit your absence through the parent portal.
Tuition is not refunded or prorated due to missed classes.
All students are to arrive on time (max of 5 min early). Please allow time to use the restroom before class begins to avoid distruptions and delays during class.
9. Class Placement : We reserve the right to not run a class if registration levels are below minimum requirements. We will recommend
an alternate class that best meets the age/level requirements.
10. Inclement Weather : In the event of inclement weather, we will notify you via email and post updates on JB Dance Studio’s Facebook and Instagram pages approximately one hour before the first class of the day.
Please note that we do not automatically follow school closings, as roads are often cleared by class time. Use your best judgment when traveling to the studio during bad weather.
Our program calendar includes a set number of weather-related cancellations. If there are additional cancellations, we may schedule make-up classes or offer alternative content delivery (e.g., recorded videos) if the schedule permits.

To support a clean and positive environment, please ensure dancewear is freshly laundered and dancers use deodorant as needed. Ongoing issues with dress code may result in termination of enrollment.
Food & Drink : No gum, candy, or food is permitted during class or on the dance floor. Water only, in tightly sealed bottles (labeled with your dancer’s name). Please avoid nut products in the studio out of respect for dancers with allergies.
