Waiver, Authorization and Release of liability: By enrolling my child in classes with Danspirations Ptd. Ltd., I agree to the following:

• I understand that classes and events (whether online or in person) involve physical activity including but not limited to dancing or tumbling. I acknowledge and will assume the full medical and financial risks associated with this. I hereby release, discharge and indemnify Danspirations Pte. Ltd. and its owners, instructors, employees and agents from any and all liability arising from or in connection with my child’s and my own (for accompanied classes) participation in class activities. I voluntarily enter into this waiver and release of liability and forever discharge Danspirations Ptd. Ltd. and its owners, instructors, employees and agents from any risks and injury that may be a result of participating in activities hosted by Danspirations Ptd. Ltd.


Photograph and Video

Sometimes we take photos/videos during the class, at events or performances. These photos may be used in class to review with students themselves, shared with parents, featured on our class wall (for star students), social media, and websites or used in marketing and promotion purposes. I give permission for my child to engage in these activities and understand no financial compensation will be given for use of these photos/videos. You may also opt out to not have your child's photo taken: to do so, simply go to the waiver and policies section of this portal and select opt out. You may change this at any time. We will refer to your setting in this portal for permission at the time of any photo/video featuring the student.

Parents/students will be provided an information sheet after the trial class. By registering or attending classes, I agree to the class fees and policies as outlined in the information sheet.

For kids classes: Term fees are due last class of previous term. Student’s spot will be held until the last class of the term and if payment for next term is not received, student may not be guaranteed a spot in the same class timing. Late payment fee is $50. Terms are on a rolling basis so if you decide not to continue, please inform in advance so the spot can be available for other children. Registration fees will be indicated for the different classes. Fees are non refundable and non transferable.

Students are allowed maximum 2 makeup classes per term at other timeslots/ locations/styles available. Please inform teacher in advance. Makeup classes must be completed 1 month from the date of the missed class or will be forfeited. Special arrangements can be made for holidays (ie. family travel for 3 weeks) to deduct days off the term fee but must inform before term starts and must be done before payment. Makeup class must be taken as a secondary class in a week where they are attending and enrolled in a regular class and cannot be during a pro-rated week. Makeup classes will not be granted into the following term if students are not enrolled in the following term even if the class is missed during the last week of the current term. This is applicable to all classes unless otherwise communicated.

Class dress code:
Class dress code is important to help young dancers focus as well as to ensure clothing is not a distraction during class. Class uniforms are carefully selected for the comfort of students as well as to fit the dance style and age group. For ballet and jazz classes, class attire can be purchased through Danspirations and must be worn for classes. For other classes, the dress code is outlined in the information sheet.

Video/photography//choreography copyright:
Please seek permission from the teachers and the other family members in class prior to photographing and videoing a class. All choreography works are the intellectual property of the school.

Performance Team Class Policy and Waiver (applicable to performance team only)
By signing up to be part of the performance team, I agree to the following waivers and policies:
• I/we realise that participation in dance classes and activities could involve some possible injury. Despite precautions, accidents and injuries may occur. By participating, I/we (the dancer and parent/guardian) assumes all risk related to the participation in these activities and release Danspirations Private Limited including its coaches, staff, teachers, associates and facilities of any liability resulting from such injuries or any personal property damage.
• Commitment and attendance is vitally important for both the progress of our students as well as individuals we aim to mentor. I/we agree to commit and attend performance team classes, events, workshops and other arrangements for the full season from the 3rd week of Feb to 2nd week of December
• If a student is sick, they should remain home and rest. If they are injured, they may come to class and observe. Observing class can be a very productive learning tool and will keep them up to date with the progress of the team.
• Student must conduct themselves during team events and classes in an appropriate manner as outlined in the studio etiquette and code of conduct.
• The school reserves the right to dismiss a team member or not allow a student to participate in a performance if they have poor attendance or does not follow the studio etiquette and behaviour policy.
• Team and class structure, design and timing may change at the discretion of the school as the school, coaches and teachers see fit for the team. Although 1-2 performance opportunities are planned for each season, there may be unforeseen circumstances such opportunities may be cancelled. The school reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any of the events and is under no obligation to refund any fees. Types of performances and venues are to be determined at the sole discretion of the school.
• The school is not obliged to offer lead roles to every member of the team. This is based on performance, behaviour, attendance and many factors evaluated by the teacher(s) and school.
• Most classes will run on the designated Friday class time as a dance class, but for certain weeks, students may be taken on an outing, workshop, etc. that substitutes as regular class time. The class fee covers supervision and coaching of the team in which the nature and method of coaching may differ from time to time. Class fee may include supervision of the team attending an external event. For certain events that require external venue, coaches, materials etc. additional fees may apply.
• Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 1 other dance class per week at Danspirations to be eligible to join the performance team.
• Most performances will not require additional performance fees (except our regular annual recital) but may require to purchase costuming items for the additional performances that the team will participate in. Most events should be covered by the class fee but some may require external venue, materials etc. in which additional fees may apply, in such cases, although members are encouraged to join but will be given the option to opt out.
• The school is very much proud of our students. The school may take photos, videos of the team and its team members. Danspirations may use dancers’ names and all photographs and videos for all forms of media, advertising and promotion and all other lawful purposes. By joining the team, parents and students agree to give permission for the usage and no compensation will be given.

Holidays and Missed classes:
Students taking vacation can pro-rate their classes and remain on the team. This is to be informed before the fees are due at the end of the previous term. Students who need to take leave for more than 5 weeks will be reviewed on a case by case basis of whether they will require extra classes to help them catch up after prolonged leave. The extra classes will be charged at additional and may be at different rates depending on class size. There are no refunds, credit forwards, make up classes for missed classes due to the unique team based nature of this class. No credit or refund will be provided.
Studio etiquette and code of conduct
• Everyone is expected to work as a team player and help in the growth of their fellow teammates
• A positive learning environment is important to us and our students. In class and during team events, students and parents are expected to display good respectful behaviour. Attitudes that are disrespectful, uncooperative or aggressive are unacceptable. Any student or parent exhibiting these attitudes and behaviours will be asked to leave.
• All students and parents are to respect the teachers, staff and other members of the studio and team. Disrespecting a faculty member or another student or being discourteous is grounds for suspension or being asked to leave the studio permanently. In the event the student is dismissed or suspended, there will be no reimbursement for any classes or collected fees.
• Bullying, bad mouthing, gossiping by any student or parent will not be tolerated
• All students must come to class on time and be prepared to learn. This includes being dressed in class attire.

Our general school policies and waivers are still applicable unless stated above.
