We generally follow the Washington County School system for closing the Limestone studio and Greeneville City School system for closing the Greeneville studio. Please note: this is for inclement weather only. Days that they close for Presidents Day, or in-service we do not observe these holidays. We will still have classes on these days. This only pertains to inclement weather.

Classes missed due to illnesses can be made up. You will need to contact Ms Lesa or Ms Heather for another class time.

Proper shoes and attire must be worn to participate in class. Hair should be pulled back off the face for all classes. Don't forget to write your name in all shoes, bags, etc. We will be having shoe fittings for ordering your child's shoes. Please watch our social media and email for days and times for these fittings.

GENERAL RULES: Please discuss these rules with your dancers! Thank you!
-No food or drinks other than water inside the studios. No exceptions!
-Lesa's School of Dance lobbies at both Limestone and Greeneville studios will remain closed during our dance season 2025-2026. Our lobby areas are a very small space and for the safety of dancers and teachers this area will remain closed. You are welcome to come in and use the restroom if you are waiting on your child. We do ask that you exit the building after using the facilities.
-All personal belongings may be kept in the dressing room or in the studio with the dancer if needed. Lesa's School of Dance is not responsible for items left behind. Please make sure you check for all your belongings before leaving the studio.
-Preschool Parents: Please take your dancer to the restroom BEFORE class begins to avoid accidents and disruptions to class.
-Please make an effort to be prompt! Excessive tardiness picking up your child will result in additional fees.
-No parents, friends, or siblings are allowed in the classroom at any time. This is for the benefit of your dancer. They will learn more if we have their complete attention.
-If your dancer drops a class, a 30-day written notice is required. You will be responsible for payment until the written notice is received and the 30 day period has passed.
-For the safety of our dancers, we typically follow Washington County School System for our Limestone studio and Greeneville City Schools for our Greeneville studio for decisions on inclement weather school closings. However, you should always use your own judgement when deciding to travel due to weather. We will confirm our closing via email when inclement weather affects Lesa's School of Dance. We will also communicate all schedule changes on social media as well! No refunds for inclement weather. All classes missed due to inclement weather will be made up.
-We are available to answer any questions you might have! If you need to speak with Ms Lesa or Ms Heather please call/text or email to set up an appointment as we rarely have time in-between classes. LATE FEE: A $15 Late Fee will be charged for any payments not made in full by the 15th of each month. This will be added on to your account if this is not paid by the 15th.

PAYMENT POLICIES: Lesa's School of Dance tuition is based on an entire season of dance. Our season runs from September 2025 - May 2026. All dancers are required to pay for the entire season. If you enroll mid-season we will prorate your tuition based on when you begin dancing with us. Tuition is NOT based on the number of classes in a month or on attendance. There is NO refund for missed classes as we provide a make-up schedule due to illness.

You may pay the entire season in full or pay it in monthly installments. Registration fees are non-refundable. Tuition payments are due the 1st of each month, September 2025 - May 2026, and will be automatically billed to your parent portal the 1st of each month.

All monthly tuition payments, Year-End Show costume payments, and Year-End show fees will be posted on your parent portal. You will be emailed a receipt after your tuition is paid. Costume deposits will be due on November 25, 2025. A costume deposit of $55 will be due for each recital dance. The deposit will include their costume and tights for each dance. We try our best to not exceed $25 for the costume balance.

RECITAL FEES: A $75 recital fee will be billed to your portal in February 2026. This will allow you to get 5 tickets for our year end show. Other tickets may be purchased in May of 2026. We have our Recital at Tusculum University at the Annie Hogan Byrd Auditorium. The $75 fee recital fee is non-refundable.

RECEIPT OF PAYMENT: You will receive a billing statement or invoice prior to any charges. Once you have paid your bill you will be emailed a receipt.

RETURNED CHECK FEE: $40

Any payments paid by cash or check make take a little longer to post to your account.

I, hereby, grant Lesa's School of Dance permission to use my child's photograph/video for promotional purposes and/or social media and Lesa's School of Dance website.

Use of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogging and other social media outlets is commonplace. This policy is intended to provide Lesa's School of Dance parents and students guidelines for the use of social media.
*You do not have permission to reveal any information that compromises Lesa's School of Dance. By that we mean the sharing of personal information about the director, staff, students and/or their families or any proprietary and/or confidential information is strictly prohibited.
*Students and parents should neither claim nor imply that they are speaking on behalf of Lesa's School of Dance.
*Use discretion when posting pictures, including those of other students at Lesa's School of Dance. Obey copyright laws.
*Never post anything that could compromise self-esteem of students attending Lesa's School of Dance.
*You cannot post videos of classes, rehearsals or competition performances. Lesa's School of Dance owns the copyright to all choreography presented at the school.
*Respect the law, including those laws governing defamation, discrimination, harassment, copyright and fair use. Parents and students should never post negative comments about other schools, teachers, or events, including competitions, conventions and performances.

I HAVE READ ALL THE POLICIES OF LESA'S SCHOOL OF DANCE AND I AGREE AND UNDERSTAND ALL OF THEM. Lesa's School of Dance is not responsible for any injuries that occur on the premises of Lesa's School of Dance in Limestone or Greeneville or at any other rehearsals or performances. I also understand that I am signing my child up for classes September 2025 - May 2026. Classes missed due to illness may be made up. There is no reduction in monthly tuition or skipping months.

Each family will have a portal to process payments, register for classes, etc. It is your responsibility to keep all info (contact info, payment info, etc.) up to date. Please contact lesasschoolofdance@comcast.net or Ms Heather at 423.773.7441 with any questions about your portal and/or account info. In this portal, when registering a parent or guardian will need to sign off on all the policies below. CURRENT STUDENTS: Please check and confirm your contact, payment information, and dancer's school grade is correct and up to date. Once you have registered, please verify all your classes are correct by logging into your customer portal.

A non-refundable registration fee of $40 for each dancer is due upon registration. You will receive a payment confirmation email once your payment has been processed.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I understand dance can be a strenuous activity and accept responsibility for any injuries my child may incur while participating in any activity at Lesa's School of Dance and its employees are not liable for personal injury, or loss of or damage to personal property.

I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)'s attendance at Lesa's School of Dance. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Lesa's School of Dance, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Lesa's School of Dance, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 or other currently unknown virus infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Lesa's School of Dance program or class.
