All dance levels and classes will have a set dress code for classes. We have at least one "open dress" or theme day per month where they can wear other colors. And it is important that our students reflect the standards of dance that we teach. You will receive a student handbook with a list of the clothing and shoe items needed for classes. This is a learning and growing environment, and this will keep us prepared to dance and improve. If your child does not have the proper attire or shoes for class after a 2 week grace period, you will be charged a dress code fee of $10 for each class they attend without supplies. After 3 weeks, the fee will rise to $20, and so on.

The combo class level your child is put in will be determined by our staff. We will have evaluations for Junior and Teen Level students the Week of December 7th, where they may be given the opportunity to move up a level if we see fit, and Audition for cast roles in our spring show.

I understand that all dance classes are a year-long commitment from the day I register myself/my child for class, until the conclusion of the recital. I will be given an 8 week grace period to drop classes. After which, I am committed to being in attendance for class and agree to pay tuition and other fees owed from the day I register, until the conclusion of the season's recital for the 2026/2027 season. I understand that if I drop myself/my child or I/my child no longer attends classes, I will still owe tuition for the remainder of the year. If there is a balance left and I do not pay out the rest of my contracts tuition and/or fees, Morgan City Dance Theater reserves the right to recoup damages through use of mediation, collection agencies, claims court, or other forms. I will cooperate with any method used to get the remaining year balance resolved on my account.

**This policy is held by the majority of dance studios in South Louisiana and our parish.**

I agree to have my/my child's likeness and image used in pictures, videos, and audio recordings for the purposes of studio advertisement. This includes but is not limited to social media posting, websites, emails, flyers, business cards, etc. I understand that I must request a separate "opt out" form if I do not want my child to be included in these.

I understand that by me/my child participating in classes or events can result in injury or sickness. I will not hold the studio owners, teachers, volunteers,etc. responsible for any injury or sickness that may occur. I will consult with my Doctor if necessary to determine my ability to participate in classes or events. I give Morgan City Dance Theater permission to act in my absence or call emergency services if necessary.

For season 7, we will take payments primarily through cash and check. An envelope will be sent home every month with the balance due. Due to fee changes through the studio software, anyone enrolled in Auto-pay or paying tuition online will be charged an additional $5 per transaction. Tuition is due one the 1st of the month. A $10 late fee may be added once a balance is past due for more than 10 days.

Costume Fees ($85 per costume) are due November 1st, 2026. If your account has a balance, costume payments you make will be applied to that FIRST.

Tuition -
$50.00 for Mini levels, $55.00 for Junior levels, $60.00 for teen levels. Yearly enrollment fee is $40.00.
Sibling discount - $5.00 off per child of tuition
Pastoral Discount - $10.00 off total of tuition


If your child is participating in competition or performance team, those fees will be sent separately.

Recital Fee of $90.00 is due February 1st, 2027. This fee will include a copy of the recital video, decorating and set costs, etc. If your account has a balance, fee payments you make will be applied to that FIRST.

Tickets will go on sale April 10th, 2027. Prices range from $12.00 - $15.00. Your account MUST be current in order for you to purchase tickets.

Registration, Costumes, Tuition, and other fees are non-refundable, but may be refunded due to special circumstances. We reserve the right to refuse service when an account balance is unresolved.

We strive to keep a positive and enriching environment for all students and families. Bullying, intimidation, hitting or pushing, or any other type of mean behavior is strictly not allowed. If there is an issue with mistreatment of another student, staff member, parent, volunteer, or other studio involved people, we may discontinue your classes at any time without a refund. There is zero tolerance for poor mouthing or speaking badly about our studio, Morgan City Dance Theater, its staff, students, volunteers, or clients.
