Recital cost
To help pay for recital costs such as venue, music, light tech, audio tech, and others we must have fundraisers for every season to help pay for this cost. This is why we do not charge a recital fee.
Recital Costumes
*Costumes will cost between $60.00 and $150.00 each depending on each costume ordered. Instructors try their best to keep this cost on the low end if possible.
You will be required to have specific Tights for each dance (these are not included in the cost of the costumes.)
*Balances are due no later than February 7th.
(You may pay in Full or make payments) This is cash or check only NO ONLINE PAYMENT FOR COSTUMES.
*Costumes will not be ordered unless they are paid in full by these dates after this date we cannot guarantee costumes to be in stock.
*We will begin measuring students for costumes in class the first week of February..
*Costumes are ordered through a costume company and they are not specially made for each child. Each child's measurements must fall into a specific size category. Most children are between sizes and we will have to go up in size to assure fit. Some costumes may need to be altered once they arrive.
These alterations are not included in the cost of the costume and will be each parent's responsibility.
*When Costumes arrive they will not be given out until rehearsal, tuition is up to date and all fees paid. This includes late fees.
*Anyone that does not notify us that they have dropped a class will forfeit their costumes even if paid.
Studio Policies
At Leap of Faith Dance Studio, we love your children and want every child to have a positive experience. Dance class is educational and fun; however, an important part of class work is developing an attitude of discipline and respect for teachers and fellow students. We trust that following our classroom etiquette will provide an environment whereby classes at Leap of Faith Dance Studio will be a pleasure for all concerned.
*Parents must not leave children unattended before and after dance class. Please do not leave the lobby if your child is between 2 and 6 years of age. Our staff is not responsible for your child once they are dismissed from a class or before a class begins.
*The studio is not responsible for students once they leave the studio.
*Students must remain inside the building once they are dropped off and until they are picked up.
*Please make every effort to get your child to class on time in proper dress with hair secured off face and to pick up promptly, especially if your child is in the last class of the day.
*Please drive cautiously around the studio at all times.
*Good attendance is necessary for students to progress in their classes.
*Please keep absences to a minimum, especially when we are preparing for recital dances.
*If your child needs to leave class early for any reason, please notify the instructor prior to the start of class.
*If your child misses 4 or more classes in a season they may not be able to participate in the recital. This decision will be made by the instructor and the director and will be discussed with the parent before the 4th absence occurs. We are having to enforce this rule due to many absences in the past. When one child continually misses class, it makes it difficult for the other students in the class to learn and perform their routine.
*Please watch your personal belongings at all times as we are not responsible for valuables left around the studio.
*There is a lost and found for those items left at the studio. Please check here for any item you may have lost.
*To avoid distractions, family and friends are not allowed to watch class except on those days set aside as "visitor days." This includes peeking through the door. It is very distracting.
*If you feel you need to discuss certain issues with your child's teacher, you may do so by reserving a conference time. Our teachers like to keep communication open with our parents and will be more than willing to speak with you. However, we have a very tight class schedule and do not have breaks between classes. Please try to schedule a time for this.
*No food, drink, candy, or gum allowed in the classrooms. This will be strictly enforced!
*Absolutely no cell phones or toys in class. They will be taken away if they are seen.
*Parents please do not let your children run around the studio and hang on the barres or mats before class begins.
*Positive reinforcement is used to guide our students toward acceptable behavior. Behavior which is unacceptable includes but is not limited to;
-Failure to follow the instructors directions.
-Disruption of the class and other students.
-Failure to adhere to studio policies.
*If discipline becomes necessary, a child is first corrected several times, if that does not correct the issue, they will be asked to sit in time out. If that is not successful, a parent conference will be scheduled.
*Cover-ups can be worn to and from class but will not be permitted during class.
*Students (especially Preschool students) must use the restroom BEFORE class begins.
*The studio reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
Thank you,
