28th Avenue Dance Studio provides an environment that is conducive to learning. We will use the "Three Strikes and You're Out" rule in all of our classes. Please review the following with your dancer(s).
Strike One: Dancers who do not adhere to the classroom rules will receive ONE verbal warning to correct their behavior.
Strike Two: If, after the verbal warning, dancer does not correct their behavior, they will be asked to sit down and think about their behavior. lf the dancer sits quietly for a short period and feels they are ready to return, they will be asked to join the class as long as they are ready to follow the rules.
Strike Three: If the dancer does not remain quiet during strike two or does not follow the rules after joining the class, they will be asked to leave the classroom and the parent or caregiver will be called to pick the dancer up from the studio.
Once the dancer is asked to leave the classroom, they will not be allowed to return to class that day. If a dancer is asked to leave class two times, a meeting with the teacher, parent, and dancer will take place. If a dancer is asked to leave the classroom three times, they will be withdrawn from class.
Again, we will provide an environment that is conducive to learning for all students. We will teach students who want to be here and are able to follow classroom rules. We expect students to follow rules, show respect, and learn to manage their own behavior.
Thank you, in advance, for reviewing this with your dancer. We look forward to another fantastic, productive, fun year!
