Enrolment Terms & Conditions

Upon enrolling with Academy of Dance and Elegance all dance families (including students, parents, grandparents, siblings, carers, guardians etc.) agree to follow the following terms and conditions of enrolment.

Payment of Fees
 I understand that all fees are non-refundable & non-transferrable, including enrolment fees, term fees, concert fees, uniform payments and all other fees and payments.
 I understand that the enrolment fee must be paid upon enrolment to secure my classes.
 I understand that term fees are to be paid in full before the commencement of classes each term, unless on a payment plan.
 I understand that concerts are compulsory and fees will be added to my account each semester for these.
 I understand and agree to pay any associated fees incurred by a debt collector for any unpaid fees.
 Payments can be made via our Parent Portal, bank transfer, credit card and eftpos. Cheques will not be accepted.
 Students taking 3 or more classes per week will receive a 10% discount on Term Fees only. This does not include private classes, enrolment fees, concert fees, uniforms or any other items/fees. Discounts are only valid if term fees are paid in full by the due date. If the term fees are paid late, discounts don’t apply.
 I understand that my enrolment is for the full calendar year and term fees will continue to be charged for the duration of the year unless written advice is given that the student will no longer be participating.
 In the case of overpayments or medical refunds, credit card/bank fees will not be refunded.
Exclusions
 Academy of Dance and Elegance and its staff and teachers reserve the right to exclude students from class temporarily or permanently. This right extends to the non-payment of fees, breeching any Terms & Conditions of Enrolment and students or families behaving inappropriately at the studio.

Parent Release Form for Photography and Videography
 I understand that some of Academy of Dance and Elegance’s events are filmed and photographed and are copyrighted to Academy of Dance and Elegance, Dance and Elegance Photography and the Videographer and the Photographer.
 I give permission for Academy of Dance and Elegance and Dance and Elegance Photography to use video footage and / or photographs of my child. This usage may include (but is not exclusive to) displaying publicly, distributing, or publishing, photographs, and/or video of my child for use in materials that include, but may not be limited to; printed materials (eg - brochures and newsletters), online and offline advertising and promotion, videos and digital images for use on Social Media.
 By signing this enrolment form, I acknowledge that I am giving unrestricted permission for my child’s image to be used in print, video, and digital media. I agree that these images may be used by Academy of Dance and Elegance and Dance and Elegance Photography for a variety of purposes and that these images may be used without further notification. I do understand that any identifying information including surname and location will not be used in conjunction with any video or digital images.

Intellectual Property
 I hereby acknowledge that all choreography taught at Academy of Dance and Elegance remain the property of Academy of Dance and Elegance and may not be used without written permission from Academy of Dance and Elegance.

Personal Property
 Academy of Dance and Elegance takes no responsibility for any personal property left or stored on the premises. Mobile phones are not to be used during class time and must be switched to silent when taken into the studio room.

Health Information and Medical Release/Waiver Form
 I acknowledge that participation in dance is potentially dangerous and the is an inherent risk of injury involved. In allowing my child to participate in Academy of Dance and Elegance’s activities, I hereby assume all the risks associated with the performing arts. I understand the importance of myself and my child following the instructions and rules set by their instructors, and I agree to release Academy of Dance and Elegance and it’s employees of any and all liability which may arise as a result of my child’s participation in activities at Academy of Dance and Elegance.

COVID19 Policies & Procedures
 I understand that Academy of Dance and Elegance will follow the regulations and guidelines as set out by the Australian government in regard to COVID-19.
 All patrons entering the studio must also abide by these regulations and guideline.
 Parents are encouraged to us the ‘Kiss & Drop’ method where appropriate.

Student Safety
 Students are not to leave the studio without their parent or known guardian without written permission from their parent/guardian. This includes travelling via taxi/uber and with other families.

Uniforms
 Studio uniforms must be worn to all classes and ADE events. At Academy of Dance and Elegance we believe that wearing a studio uniform gives students a sense of belonging to our family as well as creating an identity for our studio in the greater community. Our uniforms also; are for safe dance practises, they encourage discipline, help students resist peer pressure to buy stylish clothes for class, helps identify non-students in the studio, diminishes economic & social barriers between students, increases a sense of belonging and school pride & improves attendance. Code Of Conduct
 I understand that all concerns, problems and/or complaints must be done in writing and sent to our Studio Director, Sarah Thomas, at sarah@danceandelegance.com .
 I understand that I have an obligation to Academy of Dance and Elegance to not discuss these matters with others, and to never talk about Academy of Dance and Elegance, its staff, students or families in a negative way at any time.
 I understand that bullying will not be tolerated at Academy of Dance and Elegance including at the studio, at events or online.
