Eden Dance Institute (ABN 85 658 944 597) (“EDI”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information provided to us or otherwise collected by us, whether offline or online, including through our website (Site).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

As we provide services to children, we may collect personal information about children from their parent or legal guardian. By enrolling a child with EDI, the parent or guardian consents to the collection and handling of the child’s personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may collect personal information directly from you or from third parties.

Restrict / Opt-Out

Access
You may request details of the personal information we hold about you. An administrative fee may apply where permitted by law.

We are committed to ensuring that the personal information we collect is secure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, transmission of data is at your own risk.

EDEN DANCE INSTITUTE — TERMS AND CONDITIONS

FEES
Eden Dance Institute (EDI) offers an all-inclusive monthly fee structure, paid via direct debit for the convenience of families. Monthly fees are averaged across the year and remain consistent regardless of the number of classes in any given month.
A minimum commitment of three (3) months applies for all new enrolments.
Twelve (12) months of all-inclusive fees covers thirty-eight (38) teaching weeks of classes and includes, where applicable:
• One full set of uniform per dance style per year
• One pair of shoes per dance style per year
• Performance opportunities
• End-of-year concert videography
• Portrait photography
• Examination fees where applicable

EDI will not replace dancewear or shoes that have been lost, damaged or outgrown.
Classes operate across 38 teaching weeks per calendar year and do not run during school holiday periods. Fees are calculated across the full year accordingly.
Refunds will only be issued where EDI cancels a class or in the case of long-term illness or injury supported by a medical certificate. No full or partial refunds will be issued where a student chooses not to participate in any component of their program. All other refunds are at the discretion of EDI or as required by law.
A once-off registration fee of $50 applies to enrolments commencing on or after 1 February each year.

INCLUSIONS
Our all-inclusive fee structure may include (but is not limited to):
• Weekly dance classes
• Classwear/uniform (per 12 months of enrolment)
• Footwear — one pair per dance style per 12 months
• Performance opportunities
• Videography and photography
• Examination fees where applicable
 
UNPAID OR LATE ACCOUNTS
If a direct debit payment fails, a $9 failed payment fee will be applied. The system will automatically retry payments every three (3) days, with the fee applied to each failed attempt.
If you anticipate any payment difficulty, please contact us prior to the due date so we can assist where possible.
EDI reserves the right to suspend participation or pass outstanding accounts to a debt collection agency if fees remain unpaid. Any recovery costs incurred will be added to the account.

ABSENCES
EDI does not offer refunds or pro-rated fees for absences.
Where sufficient notice is provided, a make-up class may be offered:
• Sickness: minimum 12 hours’ notice
• Travel: minimum 7 days’ notice
Make-up classes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Students may attend a maximum of two (2) make-up classes per term.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Participation in performance opportunities is expected and encouraged. No fee refunds or allowances will be provided for students who choose not to participate in the annual performance associated with their program.

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY AND ADVERTISING
Photos and videos of students may be taken and used in Eden Dance Institute marketing and promotional materials unless written notice is provided to info@edendanceinstitute.com prior to participation.

CHANGES TO CLASSES
EDI reserves the right to make reasonable changes to class times, teachers, locations or delivery methods where necessary to ensure the continuity and quality of the program.

CANCELLATION OF ENROLMENT BY EDI
EDI reserves the right to cancel an enrolment where:
• Fees remain unpaid
• A parent or student fails to comply with reasonable directions from EDI staff
• Behaviour is not in line with EDI’s values of Respect, Kindness, Integrity, Inclusion and Excellence
• EDI determines it is no longer appropriate to provide services
 
WITHDRAWAL
• A minimum of three (3) months of fees is required each calendar year.
• One (1) month’s written notice is required to withdraw from any EDI program.
• During the notice period, the final monthly payment will be processed.
• Where a child participates in the annual performance, both November and December payments remain payable regardless of notice timing.
• Enrolments commencing in Term 4 where the student participates in the annual performance require a minimum four (4) month commitment.

CLASSWEAR AND APPEARANCE
Students will be provided with suitable dancewear as part of the all-inclusive fees. Delivery timeframes may vary where stock is limited or level placement is required.
While full uniform is not compulsory each week, the following minimum standards apply:

Dancewear
Form-fitting clothing must be worn to allow teachers to monitor alignment. Crop tops are permitted for jazz and acro provided the gap between the crop and bottoms does not exceed the width of the child’s hand. Ballet students in Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels must wear a leotard each class (skirt and tights optional).

Hair
Hair must be neat and secured for all classes. Ballet students in Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels must wear a neat bun.

Footwear
Tippy Toes students may be barefoot for acro and some classes (excluding tap). Ballet, jazz and tap shoes will be provided at the first class (stock permitting).

Makeup
Makeup is not permitted in classes and will only be used for performances where developmentally appropriate.

 
STUDIO ETIQUETTE — TIPPY TOES PROGRAM
Parents are permitted in the studio to support young dancers and help create a nurturing learning environment.
• No mobile phones during class
• Please minimise entry and exit once class has commenced
• Ensure your child visits the toilet prior to class
• If late, wait for a break in the music before entering
• Please avoid talking to other parents during class
• Limit the number of observers where possible
• Remove unsettled siblings promptly
• No food permitted in the studio (water bottles encouraged)
• Please do not instruct your child from the seating area
• Do not bring unwell children or siblings to the studio

STUDIO ETIQUETTE — UPPER SCHOOL PROGRAM
• Students are expected to enter independently
• If late, wait for a break in the music before entering
• Students should visit the toilet prior to class
• No food permitted in the studio (water bottles encouraged)
• During viewing weeks, please remain quiet
• Remove unsettled siblings promptly
• Do not bring unwell children or siblings to the studio
