GENERAL INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES FOR

1. DANCE FEES: Please Read Carefully
Tuition is due the 1st of the month and is nonrefundable & nontransferable. Tuition must be paid by debit or credit card (there is a transaction fee). Auto-pay payments are processed on the first of the month. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH, CHECKS, CASHIER’S CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS!
Tuition is the same amount every month regardless of holidays, vacations, class cancellations, or student absences, unless otherwise stated by owners.
We require all dancers to be enrolled in our recurring autopay program for your monthly tuition. Your autopay tuition payment will be billed to the card on file on the first of the month. We must have an updated autopay card on file at all times. If for some reason you can’t be enrolled in our auto-pay program, please connect with our Front Desk Receptionist for other payment arrangements.
Make-up classes must be taken within a 30 day time span of the absence, preferably, in your same style/level, if it’s offered, or make up classes can be in any technique class of your level.
Un-enrollment: All dancers must be unenrolled two weeks before monthly tuition is due or you will be automatically be charged next month's tuition. No refunds. You can unenroll your dancer by contacting the Front Desk.
Late-fee Guidelines
There will be a $25 late charge per dancer for all tuition payments received after the 5th of each month. If tuition is not paid by the 8th of the month, your dancer will be dropped from dance classes. If tuition is paid after the dancer has been dropped from classes, full tuition will still be required upon re-enrolling and any missed classes will be considered a make-up class. Make-up classes must be taken within a 30 day time span of the absence, preferably, in your same style/level, if it’s offered, or make up classes can be in any technique class of your level.
Each person that registers as a Legacy Dance Company student is responsible to pay monthly tuition in order to dance in that month. If you do not take all your classes within the month, you must still pay your full monthly tuition.

Single class - $19 per class (walk-in)
REGISTRATION FEE:
$35 for 1 Dancer/yr
$50 for 2 Dancers/yr
$60 for 3 Dancers/yr
$70 for 4 Dancers/yr
$80 for 5 Dancers/yr

$5 per dancer

*You Must re-register for each New Dance Season, which begins in August every year.*
2. HOLDING FEE: If a student is going to be absent for the whole month, a holding fee will be required in order to hold their place in class. The holding fee is half of the amount of the students monthly tuition and must be paid prior to the 5th of the month. If a student has not paid their holding fee, they will be dropped from the class.
3. UNNOTIFIED CANCELLATION OF ANY CLASS: A dance class can be canceled should there be any unforeseen emergencies that are taking place in the studio, city, surrounding neighborhood, or with the dance instructor. No refund will be given on tuition or classes should this occur. Make up classes will be offered.
4. STUDIO CLOSURES:
September - Labor Day
October - Halloween
1 week for Thanksgiving Break in November (Dates will be sent via email)
2 weeks for Holiday Break between Dec - Jan (Dates will be sent via email)
January - Martin Luther King Day
1 week for Spring between April - May (Dates will be sent via email)
May - Memorial Day
Tuition is not adjusted for these holidays, unless otherwise stated by owners.
5. DANCEWEAR: Proper Dance Attire must be worn in ALL dance classes. The Dress Code is strictly enforced. Please Read Very Carefully. If students are not in their proper dance attire for each of their dance classes, they WILL NOT be able to take their class. Please see attached sheet for Dress Code in your registration email.
6. PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Dance bags, dance shoes and all personal belongings must be kept in one bag in class in the cubbies with students. Please keep walkways and furniture clear of clutter for safety reasons. Please do not leave personal belongings in the lobby unattended. If personal belongings are left in the studio unclaimed, you can check our lost & found at the front desk. ALL unclaimed items will be donated. Legacy Dance Company is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
7. PARENTS/VISITORS:
Studio lobby is open.
Parents are not allowed to enter the dance rooms. If your child is needed, please see the front desk for assistance.
If there is an emergency, please visit or call the front desk to get assistance from the receptionist.
8. STUDENTS:
Dancers MUST BE in a dance class at all time while in the Studio, NO DANCERS, will be allowed to sit and wait in Studio lobbies for any length of time. Any bad behavior, or not following our guidelines of any sort from any dancer, Parents will be called and required to come and pick up your dancer immediately!
Student Code of Conduct
Rules of conduct each student is expected to follow while participating as a dancer at Legacy Dance Company:
No possession or use of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco
No fighting, bullying, hitting, tantrums, throwing things, foul language, stealing, or gossiping, and disrespecting staff members, teachers, or other students
Be respectful of LDC property
Being respectful of peers, staff, and teachers
Have fun!
9. STUDENT CHECK IN:
Dancer check in will start 15 minutes before each class.
10. TARDINESS: Please Be On Time.
No student will be allowed in class if more than 15 minutes late.
(No refunds will be given or offered. Should this occur, dancers will be allowed to take a makeup class within the same month.)
Pointe students should arrive at least 15 minutes early for class to put on their pointe shoes.
ALL DANCERS MUST BE PICKED UP ON TIME. If a dancer is consecutively not picked up on time within the same month. A $15.00 late pick up fee will be charged and added to your next month’s tuition.
11. CLASSES: All classes start at 5 minutes after the hour to give our dancers time to change their clothes and dance shoes for their next class. This time also allows the dancers time to use the restroom and get water. There will be no restroom break during class for dancers ages 10 & up, unless we have a doctor’s note on file.
I understand and recognize the risks of physical injury inherent in dance, dance performances, and tumbling, and are willing to assume those risks. It is agreed that I, or my child WILL NOT hold Legacy Dance Company, or their owners, directors, instructors, or employees liable for injuries sustained or illnesses contracted while in attendance and/or performing in any activity at LDC dance classes, recitals, community performances, or special events.
12. SHOWS/COSTUMES: Our annual recital is normally held in June. All students interested in performing in the recital MUST purchase a recital costume for each of their classes. Full Payment for recital costumes MUST be paid in order to receive recital costumes. Any unclaimed recital costumes will be sold or donated if not picked up by the recital dress rehearsal. Recital costumes are normally available to order in February/March, unless otherwise stated. IF YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR CLASSES IN JANUARY OR THE FIRST WEEK IN FEBRUARY AND YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN THE RECITAL PLEASE ASK THE FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST FOR MORE DETAILS CONCERNING BEING A PART OF THE RECITAL. There are No refunds on recital costumes.
Dance productions have an extra cost. All students should perform in all shows. It is a great Dance Experience for each student. Students must attend classes in order to perform in any show, or the recital. All students should be in class the week before a show, and/or recital.
13. RECITAL: We highly encourage all students 2 and older to perform in the annual dance recital. Recital tickets are based on a first come first serve basis. Monthly dance fees, and tuition must be paid up to date, in order to perform in the recital. Dress rehearsal is mandatory, and all past due fees and tuition must be paid prior to the recital. No tuition payments or recital costume payments will be taken at or during the recital or the recital dress rehearsal.
14. PHOTO RELEASE: The studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs or video tape the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements, other promotional materials & on all forms of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat, etc.). 15. SPECIAL RATES:
I understand and recognize that if I, or my child/children are on any type of monthly tuition special, that tuition special will be honored on a monthly basis as long as you or your child continues to dance at Legacy for consecutive Dance Seasons. However, from the moment you register you must pay tuition every month throughout the entire dance season. If your dancer's tuition is not paid by the 7th of the month the dancer will be dropped from the class and you will lose any special rate or discount you were on. If you or your child/children should decide not to dance and miss paying tuition each month. Your special rate will be broken and you will no longer be able to receive your tuition special, and you will have to pay the regular tuition price once you decide to start dancing again at Legacy.
Ex. If you are on the Christmas Special and you pay $25.00 a month for 1 class. That will be your monthly tuition price as long as you dance at Legacy year after year consecutively. However, if you decide to take a break, a month off, or fail to pay your monthly tuition each month consecutively or if your tuition is not paid by the 5th of each month then whenever you come back either the next month or anytime within the dance season, your special is no longer honored, and you will pay the regular monthly tuition per month for 1 class. If you have any further questions concerning this please feel free to ask the front desk receptionist to explain this to you more in detail.
After reading, reviewing, and understanding the LDC General Information Packet, I agree to abide by the rules, and regulations of Legacy Dance Company as a parent of a LDC registered student, or as a LDC registered student myself.
