Accent on Dance – Terms and Conditions
1. PAYMENT DEADLINES & LATE FEES
1.1 Class fees are payable by week 3 of any term.
1.2. Term fees are a set price and cannot be adjusted.
1.3. A 10% late fee will apply to any account that remains unpaid by Week 5, unless a payment. plan has been arranged before the commencement of the term. Accounts on an approved payment plan must be paid in full by Week 8. Lessons may be suspended if payment is not received by the applicable due
1.4. Payments can be made via direct bank transfer, stripe, credit card or cash. Please ensure payments are made on time to avoid late fees and disruption to your child’s lessons.
1.5. Payment reminders will be issued before the payment deadline, with overdue notices sent after week 4.
2. REFUNDS & WITHDRAWALS
2.1. Class fees and costume fees are non-refundable.
2.2. If a student withdraws from a class mid-term, all fees paid will be forfeited, and no refunds or credits will be issued for missed lessons. Students are liable for the full term’s fees, regardless of the withdrawal date.
2.3. Written notice of withdrawal is required two weeks before the end of a term if a student is not returning for the next term.
3. ATTENDANCE & MISSED CLASSES
3.1. There will be no refunds or credits for missed lessons. Missed classes may be made up in another suitable class at the discretion of the studio, subject to availability.
4. CARE & SUPERVISION
4.1. All care according to the “Code of Ethics of Dance Teachers” will be taken by the school.
4.2. Dance and related physical activity carry inherent risks of injury. While Accent on Dance takes reasonable care to provide a safe environment, we do not accept liability for injury or loss to person or property arising from the inherent risks of participation, except where caused by the negligence of the principal, instructors, or other employees.
4.3. Students are required to be medically fit to participate in physically demanding activities. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure their child is physically capable of participating in dance classes.
4.4. Accent on Dance is not responsible for students before or after their scheduled class times. Children must not be left unattended outside these times unless prior arrangements have been made with the studio.
5. FIRST AID & MEDICAL ATTENTION
5.1. Permission is given to seek First Aid or medical attention for students if required during class or performances.
6. PHOTOGRAPH & VIDEO RELEASE
6.1. Permission is given to photograph or video students to be used for studio publicity or memorabilia unless the option for “no photographs” is selected during enrolment.
6.2. Parents can update their photo/video preferences at any time by providing written notice to the studio.
7. COSTUMES, CHOREOGRAPHY & MUSIC
7.1. All costumes, choreography, and music are subject to copyright and belong to Accent on Dance. These may not be reused or reproduced without prior consent.
8. ANNUAL FEES & CONCERT FEES
8.1. An annual registration fee of $40 is payable upon enrolment.
8.2. A concert fee of $40, for students involved in the end-of-year performance, is payable in Term 4 and will be added to the Term 4 invoice.
8.3. All Performance Troupe students will incur an annual competition fee of $100, payable in two instalments of $50 in Terms 1 and 2.
9. PERFORMANCE TROUPES & PRIVATE LESSONS
9.1. Students in Performance Troupes and private lessons are committing to their selected classes for the entire year.
10. EXAMINATIONS, COMPETITIONS & COMMITMENTS
10.1. Students participating in dance exams or competitions are expected to commit to additional rehearsals and adhere to studio guidelines for attendance, attire, and performance.
10.2. Any fees for competitions, costumes, or exams will be communicated in advance and must be paid in full before participation.
11. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION
11.1. Accent on Dance values the privacy of our students and families. Any personal information collected (e.g., contact details, payment info) will be used only for studio administration and communication purposes. Personal data will not be shared with third parties without consent.
12. UNDERSTANDING OF STUDIO POLICIES
12.1. Clients must read and understand the “Price List and Class Descriptions” as well as all the conditions associated with the studio from our website: www.accentondancesa.com.au.
