Bullying concerns all of us, not just those who are bullying and those being bullied: it also affects those who witness bullying and feel unable to do anything. Bullying can happen in secret and a child being bullied can feel unable to tell.

We here at PacWest take bullying seriously and will not take bullying in any form. Any bullying incidents should be brought to the attention of the front desk. We will follow up any concerns expressed by students, parents, and/or teachers.

If you feel that you or a member of the PacWest family is being bullied please fill out our bullying incident report and bring it to the attention of the front desk.

If a dancer feels s/he is being bullied s/he needs to respond immediately. We understand that verbalizing one's feelings can be a scary step, especially when directed at the bully, but we encourage empowerment. Practice saying the following statements so they are at the ready when needed:

"That hurts my feelings."

"You're bullying me."

Many situations between kids can be seen as bullying from one perspective and is harmless teasing from another. This miscommunication can be cleared up if we allow the kids to take the first step. If after this step the situation has not improved then we truly have an incident that warrants direct involvement. The Administrators will contact the families, and the Administrator's decision will be final.

Let's avoid this situation altogether by monitoring our kids' social media use, communicating with them about the dangers of social media, and empowering them with the tools needed to be confident young adults.

Enrollment/Registration: A non-refundable registration fee will be collected at time of registration ($30 individual, $20 each additional family member). This fee is due to officially enroll in any summer session class. A separate non-refundable deposit will be collected at time of any summer camp registration.

Tuition: 50% of summer tuition is due on July 1st, 2026. The rest of summer tuition is due by the end of day on July 6th, 2026. A $25 late fee will be billed to past due accounts on July 7th, 2026.You can pay on our parent portal 24/7 or at our front desks during office hours.

Camp Fees: All camp fees are due by the start of each camp, a $25 fee will be billed to camp fees not paid.

Makeup Classes: If a student misses their regularly scheduled class, they are allowed one makeup in a class of the same length, age range, and skill level, it does not have to be the same style as their normal class. You must contact the front desk 24 hours prior to the class. Students must complete the make-up within the summer session.

Withdrawal: An written communication (email) must be done 7 days prior to the start of your class/camp in order to not have to pay summer tuition or remaining camp fees. Simply not attending classes/camps does not constitute a withdrawal and your account will be billed accordingly. If you are on AutoPay, your card will be run.

Virus Related Class Changes/Protocols: If at any point classes must revert to the Virtual/ZOOM setting, no refunds will be given if you choose not to attend classes Virtually. By accepting this waiver you agree to abide by all procedures and protocols listed by PacWest. These will be available as needed under shared files in the parent portal. If procedures are posted and you fail to comply, your dancers will not be able to participate in class.

NSF Check Payments: Bounced checks will incur a $25 late fee. Payments will need to be replaced before students are allowed in class.

Refunds: Payments received on tuition are non-refundable unless in the deadline listed above, though unforeseen circumstances may be taken into consideration. Contact the Studio Owner to discuss options. Payments made towards retail items (clothing, shoes, costumes, etc) and registration fee are 100% non-refundable.

Class Placement: Final class placement lies in the hands of Instructors.

Photo Release: I agree and give permission for candid photos from PacWest events or class photos to be used in PacWest ads, on the PacWest website, on the PacWest Facebook page, and in PacWest videos.

Information: It is our intention to keep all PacWest families informed and reminded of the important information via email. Important information is also posted in our lobby areas, website, and parent portal. Please take time to read your emails and read flyers or notices posted in lobbies and on our parent portal.

WAIVER AND RELEASE:
As the parent and legal guardian of "Dancer", I hereby waive, release and discharge Pacific West Performing Arts, LLC and all divisions thereof of any and all liability and responsibility for claims of injury, sickness, damage to personal property, natural disasters or loss to my person, the child listed above, and to any person who might accompany us during instruction and services at and provided by Pacific West Performing Arts.

I hereby waive, release and discharge from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my travel to and from this event. The following entities or persons: the employees, instructors, volunteers, independent contractors, directors, studio owners and landlord of 1830 Bickford Ave, Snohomish, WA 98290 and landlord of 508 91st Ave NE, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 from any and all claims, actions, demands, or liability for any injury occurring in or about the premises or occurring in connection with the activities of Pacific West Performing Arts.

By signing, I understand that I cannot sue Pacific West Performing Arts or any persons associated with or mentioned in this waiver. I release Pacific West Performing Arts from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity or event, whether caused by negligence, natural disaster or otherwise. I agree to be bound by the above waiver and release agreement. The signing of this agreement is a condition of participation in classes at Pacific West Performing Arts.

Pandemics/Outbreak Release: Despite our careful attention to sterilization, disinfection and social distancing practices, there is still a chance that you or your child could potentially become exposed to an illness on Pacific West Performing Arts, LLC’s property at either Snohomish or Lake Stevens. Although PacWest Dance has taken extra precautionary measures to reduce the possibility of transmission of communicable diseases, there is still a possibility that exposure may occur. Please know that participation in classes, workshops, performances or activities hosted by Pacific West Performing Arts, LLC are at your own risk.
