Welcome to Elite Dance Center: Policies & Procedures
Thank you for choosing Elite Dance Center! Our mission is to provide a positive, professional, and inspiring environment where children can learn and grow through the art of dance. To ensure a safe, respectful, and well-organized experience for all students, families, and staff, we have established the following policies and procedures.
By enrolling in any program at Elite Dance Center (EDC), families agree to abide by all policies and procedures outlined on this page. These guidelines are in place to maintain the high standards of our studio and to support a productive and enjoyable learning environment for everyone involved.
Please note: Elite Dance Center reserves the right to refuse service or dismiss any student or family from our program at our discretion, particularly in cases where behavior is disruptive, disrespectful, or in violation of our policies.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a fantastic season of dance!
Registration: A non-refundable enrollment fee of $25 per child (max $50/family is required yearly at the time of sign up.)
Tuition: Tuition is based on a YEARLY ENROLLMENT AMOUNT divided into 9 equal payments and therefore billed at the same rate each month. Tuition is due by the 10th of each month- September-May. Late tuition payments are subject to a $10 late fee. Failure to maintain current tuition for 2 consecutive months will result in student(s) being removed from their classes. Returning to classes would require re-registration.
Methods of Payment: Cash, Check, or Credit Card. All credit transactions are subject to a 3% processing fee. Families may also sign up for Automatic Withdrawal via their parent portal. Automatic Withdrawal will be processed on the 1st of the month October-May. Only tuition may be paid with this method. Automatic Withdrawal will also incur the 3% processing fee.
Returned Check Fee: All returned checks will be subject to a $35 NSF fee in addition to the payment of the balance.
Refunds: All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. Missed classes are not eligible for a refund. A makeup class may be scheduled in its place.
Withdrawals: A 30-day notice is required to withdraw from any class. All class withdrawals must be handled with an office staff member- not your child’s classroom teacher. All automatic bank debiting or credit card charges will stop after the 30-day notice period. Refunds will not be given for any unused classes. All past due balances must be paid at time of withdrawal.
Extreme Weather/Other Class Cancellations: EDC maintains the right to cancel classes in events of extreme weather or other unexpected events.
Substitute Teachers: EDC reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unavailable to teach class.
Personal Property: Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any loss or damage to personal property sustained on studio property or at any studio event resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during, or after class time. The studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property belonging to any student.
Injury: Parents and legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on studio property or at any studio event resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during, or after class time.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off: Students should not be dropped off more than 10 minutes before the start of class and should be picked up promptly at the end of their class time. Students under 7 years old should not be left unaccompanied before the start of their class time. Only students in our “Teen” age group will be permitted to walk out to the parking lot unaccompanied after class. All other students must be picked up at their classroom door by their parent or guardian.
Photo Release: The studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs or video of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials the studio creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the studio to copyright such photos in its name. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to notify the front office if they do not wish for their child’s likeness to be used in any of the abovementioned mediums.
Classroom Observation: Parents and guardians are not permitted inside the classroom during class time for any age group.
Spring Recital: All students are eligible to participate in the Spring Recital with the exception of those who (1) have overdue account balances and/or (2) have missed an excessive amount of classes, severely affecting their ability to perform their dance. Students who participate in the Spring Recital are committing to the following fees: (1) Recital Costume Fee for each enrolled class, (2) Media Fee of $25- granting access to the recital video, and (3) Event Tickets- granting access to event for all non-dancer audience members.
