Welcome to The Dancers’ Studio! These policies are in place to ensure a positive, professional, and safe experience for all dancers and families. By enrolling, you agree to abide by the following terms throughout your time with us.
TUITION, PAYMENTS & WITHDRAWALS
-AutoPay is required for all enrolled families. Tuition is automatically withdrawn on the 5th of each month using the payment methodon file.
-Tuition is based on the number of available class days each month. Some months include studio closures; tuition is adjusted accordingly.
-Tuition is not prorated or discounted during tech week or rehearsals for the Winter Showcase or Recital. Tuition collected during these weeks helps cover performance expenses, including staff who continue working with students during rehearsals.
Withdrawal Policy
-To drop or cancel classes, written notice must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the next scheduled AutoPay date.Notices may be submitted in person or emailed to info@thedancersstudio.net
-If notice is given after the 15-day window, the upcoming month’s tuition will still be charged.
No refunds will be issued once tuition has been processed. No exceptions.
Late Fees
$10 late fee after the 7th
$20 late fee after the 14th
$30 late fee after the 21st
-Accounts unpaid by the end of the month may result in class suspension or dismissal. Returned PaymentsA $25 fee will be charged for any returned checks or failed payments. Repeated occurrences may require payment by cash or certified funds.
-No Monthly Invoices It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure tuition is current via the Parent Portal.
MISSED CLASSES & MAKEUPS
-No refunds or credits are given for missed classes.Students may make up as many missed classes as needed, provided makeups are completed within the same season (July–June).Make-up classes do not roll over into a new season.
-All make-ups must be taken at the same or lower level and scheduled through the front desk.
DRESS CODE & CLASS ETIQUETTE
-Dancers must follow our studio dress code in order to participate in class. Repeated violations may result in being asked to sit out.
-No jewelry is permitted in class, except for small stud earrings, to ensure safety.
-Students arriving more than 10 minutes late may be asked to observe instead of participate for safety and training purposes.
-Repeated issues with tardiness or dress code will be communicated to parents directly.
STUDIO EXPECTATIONS & SAFETY
-Parents may briefly check in through our lobby windows, but we ask that you do not block the windows or distract dancers during class. Allow your child to focus on the class environment.
-The studio does not provide childcare. Children not in class must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
-Water bottles are allowed inside studios. All other food and drinks must remain in the lobby.
-Dance shoes must never be worn outdoors. Please change into studio-only dance shoes before entering the classroom.
-Please help us maintain a clean and respectful environment by disposing of trash and treating studio property with care.
PERFORMANCES & COSTUMES
-We offer two main performances each season:
a.Winter Showcase/Nutcracker
b. Annual Recital
-Participation is optional but requires a Performance Fee and costume purchase for each performing class.
-Tickets are required for all performances and are non-refundable and final sale.
-To participate in Recital, dancers must be enrolled for at least April–June. Dancers joining later may be allowed if a costume is
available and the instructor approves.

VIDEO, PHOTOS & MEDIA
-Recording is allowed at performances; however, please be respectful of others. Do not post or share video of students other than
your own without permission.
-Classroom recordings are only permitted with instructor approval and must be used for practicing purposes only.
-We may occasionally use photos or video of classes/events for marketing or promotions.
-To opt out, families must provide a written request at the time of registration.
-Social media posts that reflect negatively on the studio, its dancers, staff, or programs may result in removal from classes,
performances, or teams.

ILLNESS & INJURY
-Dancers who are ill (fever, vomiting, contagious symptoms) should not attend class.
-If a dancer is injured but cleared by a doctor, they may observe class with prior instructor approval.
-Extended injuries may require a medical note to return to full participation.

COMMUNICATION & INFORMATION
-Please notify the studio in advance if your dancer will be absent. Attendance is tracked for your benefit.
-Parents are responsible for checking monthly updates, lobby notices, and the website: www.thedancersstudio.net
-The studio does not send paper newsletters home with dancers. Please come inside or visit the website to stay informed.

STUDIO CLOSURES & HOLIDAYS
The studio is closed on the following dates each season:
-Halloween
-Thanksgiving Break (Wed-Sun)
-Christmas Break (2 weeks)
-Spring Break (1 week)
-Memorial Day
-Summer Break (2 weeks)
Tuition is adjusted for holiday closures. Make-up classes are not available for these dates.

REGISTRATION & ENROLLMENT
-A $25 registration fee is due at the time of enrollment. This fee is valid for as long as the dancer remains continuously enrolled.
-If a dancer withdraws for a month or more, re-registration and a new fee will be required to return.

PRIVATE LESSONS
-Private lessons require a signed contract and approval from the Director.
-Make-ups for private lessons are not guaranteed unless the parent provides at least 24 hours’ notice and the instructor’s
schedule allows for rescheduling.
CONDUCT & COMMUNITY EXPECTATIONS
-The Dancers’ Studio is a No Drama Zone. Kindness, positivity, and professionalism are expected from students and parents at
all times.
-Gossip, negativity, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from classes, teams, or performances.
-We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who compromises the overall well-being of our dancers, families, or staff.
LIABILITY & INJURY DISCLAIMER
-Dance is a physical activity that carries some risk of injury. By enrolling at The Dancers’ Studio, you acknowledge that injuries
can occur during participation in classes, rehearsals, performances, or while on studio premises.
-The Dancers’ Studio, its staff, and instructors are not liable for any injuries sustained on the premises, in the parking lot, or during any studio-sponsored events or performances. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that the student is physically capable of participating and to provide any necessary medical insurance coverage.
-In the event of an injury, staff will assist in obtaining medical care as needed.
-Emergency services will be contacted if deemed necessary.

Continued enrollment implies agreement to abide by all current studio policies.
