Torquay Dance Academy – Terms & Conditions

By enrolling and submitting my enrolment form with Torquay Dance Academy, I agree to the following terms and conditions:

Fees & Payments

I acknowledge that all term fees are payable either:

Upfront within the first two (2) weeks of term, or

Via weekly direct debit (as arranged at enrolment).

I understand that all fees, including class fees, term levies, registration fees and concert-related fees, are non-refundable.

I acknowledge that failure to make payment in line with the selected payment option may result in my child’s place in class being suspended until payment is brought up to date. Torquay Dance Academy reserves the right to apply an administration fee of $25 to overdue accounts.

Missed Classes & Refunds

I acknowledge that Torquay Dance Academy has a no-refund policy for missed classes.
No refunds or discounts will be offered for classes missed due to illness, family holidays, or other personal circumstances.

Cancellations

I acknowledge that if I need to cancel my child’s enrolment, I must notify Torquay Dance Academy via email prior to the commencement of the term to avoid being charged term fees.

If cancelling part-way through a term, I understand that no fees paid will be refunded.

Class Placement

I understand and agree that class placement is at the teacher’s discretion, based on my child’s age, experience, previous training, safe dance principles, and appropriate alignment.

Duty of Care

I acknowledge that Torquay Dance Academy is responsible for my child only during scheduled class times.
My child must be delivered to and collected from the studio.
Torquay Dance Academy is not responsible for children dropped off or left unattended in the car park or outside class times.

Medical & Emergency Care

In the event of an emergency, I give permission for Torquay Dance Academy staff to administer basic first aid and, if required, contact emergency services.

Photography & Media

I consent to Torquay Dance Academy taking photographs, video or digital recordings of my child during classes, rehearsals or events.

I consent to these images being used for studio purposes, including websites, social media, promotional materials and marketing, unless I have formally opted out in writing.

Privacy

I acknowledge that all personal information collected will be stored and managed in accordance with current privacy legislation.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I acknowledge and agree that Torquay Dance Academy excludes all liability for any loss, damage or claim arising from my child’s participation in classes, including (but not limited to) personal injury or the use and publication of images.

I hereby release and forever discharge Torquay Dance Academy from any and all claims, liabilities, losses or damages (direct or indirect) associated with my child’s attendance.

I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to all the above terms and conditions and acknowledge that no exceptions can be made.
